You are correct when you say it's their right to protest and your right to NOT watch them.

But when THE PRESIDENT says they should be fired or that the NFL should FORCE THEM TO STAND ....... That sir is FASCISM!!!!

President did not ISSUE AN XO saying they were to be fired

He voiced his OPINION which is HIS FREE SPEECH RIGHT.

He didn't forfeit his Free Speech right when he took office.

He was not like Obama who sent IRS Attack dogs on those that disagreed with him.

He did not have their phones tapped, and Unmask their names and their conversations like the Obama administration did to his critics.

That's way to complex a concept for him to ponder.

President Trump @joint news conference incident to Spanish PM Rajoy @white house 17/09/26 Tues. responding to question about the NFL anthem / knee issue
Does Trump not know what "work" means?

I cannot say what ever I feel like saying at my work place all of the time. If I go on a client meeting for my job, along with my boss, I cannot drop to one knee in the meeting and hold up a sign that reads: My boss does not pay me enough money".

For that I would be fired because I would be damaging my companies bottom line.

So when Trump sits in the Oval Office, you know AT WORK, and makes his tweets you're saying he should be fired ??? Knock yourself out !!

Why should Trump be allowed to exercise his first amendment right AT WORK while the athletes are not ??
