The players should not cut the throat of the Goose that laid the Golden eggs..

You see their contracts are tied to advertisement revenues

Silly Liberals went to college and cannot read their contracts.

The NFL Is Seriously Concerned With Empty Stadiums
Both stories (if you bother to read them, which I doubt the posters of the stories did) do not mention the protest controversy.

The first story talks about ratings being down and gives a couple of possibilities (Hurricane Irma being the biggest possibility). The protest controversy is not mentioned.

The second story is about the concern about attendance at LA games ONLY! Considering that the two LA Teams (Chargers and Rams) were playing in other cities last season the fact that they don't have an established fan base (that drives attendance) in LA means it's not surprising attendance for those games are down (other teams attendance is on par with last year)

the season opener viewership for the entire NFL is down compared to last years season opener, by 14%.

So you are wrong.

Those NFL contracts require paying back if ratings are not what they are guaranteed to be. Ratings started dropping a year ago and are again down.

LOL In 2016 the NFL used the election as the reason for declining ratings, this year more grasping at straws with Irma, whatever. Except the US Open Tennis Women's Finals did excellent ratings that same weekend as Irma.

Haven't the regressives been trying to destroy football over concussion issues?

Its all so funny. Their job is to catch balls and entertain fans. If their boss tells them that part of that job is to dress up in their clown suits and go out there and stand for tbe anthem then that is what they have to do to keep their jobs. If they want to sacrifice millions of obamabucks over being silly there are hundrids if not thousands of people who will gratefully take their place. Nobody gives a shit about their first world problems.

What are they even bitching about anyways?

I got a theory that might be best in the conspiracy section. Here it is though. The left attacked football pretty hard recently. In true communist form they have denounced the game due to head injuries and even wanted to ban it.
Politico embarrasses itself, plays softball with NFL on concussions, brain injuries - Salon.com

Now all of a sudden its became the darling of the left. I smell some politics being played.

No matter what the agenda is of the hive mind it is amusing to watch the goldfish swim perfectly in school wherever they are being led.

Regressives on the NFL:

- We love it because blacks. And we never mention merit or quotas.

- We hate it, concussions, and the majority are blacks.

- We love it because Trump something something something.

And tomorrow?
Thanks from guy39 and Sabcat
