During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.

The regulation isn't in the rulebook, Clara. It's in the operations manual.

NOPE---it's not in the 2017 operations manual. No such wording appears in the 2017 version of the Official Playing Rules of the National Football League (which the NFL also sometimes refers to as an “operations manual”): Pages 62 and 63 contain only regulations about the enforcement of fouls committed on the field during gameplay, and nowhere else does that document specify anything about the either the playing of the national anthem prior to games or the required behavior of players and team personnel during that ceremony. In fact, the rulebook makes no mention of the national anthem at all.

Are NFL Players Required to Stand on the Field During the National Anthem?

Why don't you explain to the rest of us why "it" does not apply?

Apparently the right know about some rule that the owners of businesses must insure that their employees please the emperor (the naked emperor, he has no clothes) or else the club they belong to, will punish them, or rather they should all vote to punish themselves, to please the Naked God-Pig-Emperor Trump, all hail the orange lard bucket!

My God Obama looks like Lincoln compared to the Douchebag in Chief....

My point ??

THE MOST AMERICAN, an American can be, is when they TAKE A STAND !!! Even if they are WRONG AS HELL. Even if they are the ONLY one out of 330 million people. When a citizen stands up and says "I object", they are following in the footsteps of the founding fathers and every soldier that has fought in every war since the revolution.

You don't have to agree with the protesters, or the people they work for who choose to support them or not, but they ARE being "good Americans" when they place their jobs, income and security on the line for a principal.

How many of YOU would risk your current jobs for a cause you believed in ?? How many would risk a multi-million dollar pay day for that cause ??

WHAT'S YOUR PRICE OF SILENCE ????

But what are they trying to say?

I have been an anarchist for a long time and i still have since i finished school stood for the anthem. It is just common courtesy. From my perspective they are just telling their fellow citizens to fuck off, alienating themselves from the rest of the population, creating a larger divide, being counterproductive for their cause (whatever the fuck it is)
