How long will the PR's tolerate no services??.. and resort to violence... The only stabilizing factor here is our Military and PR is still only a relatively small area...the wild card is that it is an island, so it is isolated...No interstates to bring in supplies....ports are demolished and air ports have no air control due to the radar being knocked out
America has made sending the military there because what they fear is a revolution against the puppet government in the colony of Puerto Rico. If it was about violence and looting, they couldn't give a shit! Trump barely had room to fit the hurricane devastation in between his tweets against the NFL and North Korea!

The rule still applies: when the rat race breaks down during a crisis people are more civil and human, because without capitalist hierarchies, people act the way nature intended...and it's not the shit that propagandists for industrialization like Thomas Hobbes tried to contend!

false...Sept 27th Trump already had ACB (Amphibious Construction Battalion) 2 and CBMU (Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit) 202 along with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in Puerto Rico who already were there following road opening after Hurricane Irma

And what are they doing about getting food and clean water to people stranded with no power and closed roads?

Oxfam slams US response in Puerto Rico as 'slow, inadequate' | TheHill
Quote:
Oxfam America is stepping in to help Puerto Rico, saying the Trump administration's response has been “inadequate."

The global nonprofit's president, Abby Maxman, said in a statement Tuesday that the group is “outraged” at the U.S. government’s slow response in Puerto Rico, where more than half of the population is without clean drinking water and food and electricity are scarce in the wake of Hurricane Maria.

“We’re hearing excuses and criticism from the administration instead of a cohesive and compassionate response,” Maxman said.

The organization primarily focuses on humanitarian aid in developing nations and rarely helps wealthy countries like the U.S., but it said it is making an exception as the situation in Puerto Rico worsens.
At least they'll let OXFAM in! In other news, Cuba...devastated by category 5 winds and storm surges from Hurricane Irma on its northern coast, offered to send doctors and electrical engineers to Puerto Rico...but the US gov refused. If they're not getting the job done, why are they refusing help from outside? Half the population on the island is drinking contaminated water, and medical authorities are worried about a major cholera epidemic.....good job Donald!

"The government big enough to give you what you want is big enough to take all that you have" (Variations of that statement have been attributed to a lot of different political leaders)

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined.... The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun."
- Patrick Henry, Speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 5, 1778

By compromising with the tyrants on gun control, the American people have conceded defeat on an important point:

It is the position of the left leaning judicial branch of government that the government grants you your Rights and, consequently, there is no such thing as God given, inherent, natural, absolute, unalienable Rights (despite thousands upon thousands of court cases and founding documents / statements from the founding fathers to back up the claim of said Rights.)

It was not the intention of the founders in creating the Republic that your Rights be granted by government. Rather, your Rights predated the Constitution.

Question: Do you think the average American citizen should be able to arm himself well enough to effectively resist the military might of the U,S, government with force?
Thanks from RNG

"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every country in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops."
- Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, October 10, 1787

Even Jesus himself ordered his apostles to arm themselves - even if they had to hock their robes in order to do so. The apostles were as well armed as any member of Caesar's SWAT team. (See Luke Chapter - especially v. 36.)

Nobody should have so much faith in government that they would allow that government to be of such a size as to pose a threat to the citizenry. Furthermore, it is piss poor reasoning to try to create classes of people via gun control when it makes better sense to go after those who will, most likely, commit a mass shooting and / or pose an immediate threat to the people.
