So, you screwed up what was actually happening in the story.
You screwed up even trying to understand my position, but of course that's somewhat my fault in your eyes, ain't it...

Here's a clue about debate.
When you yourself admit that you don't know what another person is talking about, maybe you should pause to look at that person's statements for understanding instead of the usual blind attack pattern, eh?

As I've said, it's b.s. for people to fixate on California changing from felony to misdemeanor when 38% of the states don't even have it as a crime in the first place.

If this is truly about a standard of protection, then such an observation would be welcome to understand the broader problem.
If this is just about ways we can complain about California (which is obviously the goal of you and others), then there is no real moral standard involved.
Just another area to complain myopically about the speck in somebody else's eye while you ignore the beam in your own...
Generally in a debate a premise is made and sides for or against it are taken. To me it seems as if you created an abstract topic out of the OP that did not previously exist or got backed into a cornor and are now backpedaling to save face.

Maybe if you clearly stated your position it would clear things up. So far all you have done is state the percent of states that have same or similar laws regarding HIV/AIDS in the states and then have gone round and round.

Seriously.

I believe states are and should be sovereigns. We were talking about state law so why should I be concerned about how another state handling it when it is not the topic?

That is silly. It would be like talking about gun laws in callifornia but instead of talking about callifornia you are talking about gun laws (or fishing regulations for that matter) in Maine. Not w/ any stats or facets to back up whatever your point is just talking about it.

Maybe it looks good to you in blurbs but to what end? To kick over the chess pieces as they say?

Sabcat?
You remember a few posts ago where you recognized that you didn't understand the things that I was saying?
Go back to that. You still don't.
You are still in the trolling stage where you would rather argue against strawman arguments rather than listen and comprehend what other people are saying.

But I'll stop here. Primarily to continue to expose you foolish b.s.
You saying I am "backpedaling"?
QUOTE WHAT I SAID THAT I AM BACKPEDALING FROM...

You can't because you STILL are making up stupid crap about other people's positions...
Either quote what I have backpedaled from, or be honest enough to admit you are just throwing out another dumb claim...
... then I'll talk about the rest of the dumb stuff you said.

Or you could clearly state your position. That shouldn't be to hard
Thanks from guy39 and Hashtag

Why is it that you require people to repeat things for you so often Sabcat?

The last time we played this game, you ignored my repeated assessment and demonstrated it was a waste of my time. You troll this board.

You made a mistake in assuming my position. And now you are going on the attack by pretending I haven't given a position...

There's one of two things at play here. Either:
a) You seriously have problems with reading comprehension. Whereby you need to improve yourself. OR
b) You troll people with these antics purposefully. Which is what I believe is going on.

Either way, I'll repeat myself (and what you have previously addressed) in giving my assessment that this thread has no sincerity regarding the standard espoused. This is all one flimsy excuse to attack California for having a law dropped down to a misdemeanor when 38% of states have no such law in the first place. There are several other states which do have a law but it's a misdemeanor anyways.

The fact that you guys refuse to acknowledge this as a problem while you solely want to talk about California as a problem only demonstrates your lack of sincerity on the topic. That it's only motivated by a desire to attack California in a partisan way while the red states on your side of the aisle get a pass...

Just another example of Hashtag making up dumb crap without even bothering to look at the facts.
If he had, he would have realized his own article repudiated his claim when it said: "... 10 years before anyone noticed"
You can't claim gays knew, but then quote an article which explicitly states nobody knew...

LOL, I love when others try and tell someone what they "actually" meant by whatever it is they said or posted. I hate to break this to you but that's not something you get to do. The article was written about Ca, I live in Ca, and it's just that simple. As far as trolling, yes that's exactly what you are doing. You do not get to tell me what my own thread is about, nor do you get to deflect in some other direction you wish to take it. Like I told you, if this thread is too constraining for you start your own and broaden the parameters.

Your response is like an incomplete sentence. It's a stunted attempt to deny the obvious, while recognizing how far out on that limb you can tread without being unable to withstand the cognitive dissonance in your own post.

If you truly have a problem with the laws making it illegal for an HIV+ to put himself at risk for infecting an HIV- person without their knowledge, then why is there a problem talking about the whole problem.

I hate to break this to you honey, but you posted this thread on a public forum.
You don't get to dictate what does and does not get discussed on it.

And worse, I've seen too many right-wingers on this forum completely disregard so boundaries for other threads. So it's obviously this is a standard of convenience that right-wingers obviously don't adhere to elsewhere...
Thanks from RNG and Hollywood

Some people in the thread have thrown out assignations regarding California and sexually transmitted diseases in general.

To them, I recommend taking a look at the below link:
Which States Have The Most STDs? |BackgroundChecks.org

Top 10 states that are ranked highest in STDs.
NINE of them red states...
