It's about the lack of justice when unarmed African Americans are killed by police. It's not about hatred of America or our troops so making comments like that are straw man arguments. It's not about the murder rate of African Americans (which is something worthy of protest). BLM started as a protest specifically aimed at the rash of cases where police shoot unarmed blacks and then get a slap on the wrist by the legal system.

Black Lives Matter is saying that lives of black people matter so their killers should not be let off with light punishment (or in many cases no punishment at all). The personal history of the victim should not play a part in determining the guilt/innocence or the sentence given.

Everything else is secondary to this.

The personal actions of who you call the "victim" should be a consideration. How many times did they run rather than raise their hands? Why were they stopped to begin with? What business did they just rob? Know what...other people's lives also matter. What if groups of people walked the streets, saying that...or walked the streets shouting such as kill the pigs? Personal conduct? Is there any personal responsibility...or is the immediate reaction...blame someone else?

In North Charleston South Carolina, an unarmed black man was shot 8 times in the back. He had committed no robbery. In Minnesota, a passenger told the police he had a concealed carry license and a gun. He never reached for the gun but the officer shot him dead where he sat. There is actually a cell phone video of the incident on the web if you care to look. He hadnít robbed anyone either. In Cleveland, about 40 miles from my home, a 13 year old was in a park with a toy gun and the caller to 911 made the point of mentioning that he thought it was a toy gun. There was no one else in the vicinity when the police arrived. Rather than pull up at a distance, the driver of the cruiser dove right up to where the boy was sitting. When the boy got up and reached for his wasteband he was murdered senselessly. I could go on and on about the unjustifiable use of deadly force used by police towards the black community but you are in defense mode and would only be a waste of my time.

LOL It is a total dissing of the nation, the anthem, the fans. It is a repugnant group of well-paid thugs. Doing it at their workplace.

As another poster said, why do we never hear when white people get shot by police. Or that over 100 police have been murdered on the job so far in 2017.

That is a frigging joke, when they start going to inner cities, kneel down and try to educate young black men to stop killing each, other i will believe you give a rip the lot of ya! While they are their, kneel and try to teach them that abandoning their families is bad for the black communities. Kids need a father figure, preferably one that isn't in Prison. These shootings that you say they are protesting, they are rare but magnified by the media, no one bats an eye when ten thugs rape a white girl, or put the beat down on a single white person for walking through the wrong neighborhood.

Name those rash of shootings!

No, in other words, you volunteered your ignorance on this issue and are too jaded and intellectually lazy to look up what this discussion has been about for weeks.
Thanks from Clara007
