Stupid People Ask For Thoughts And Prayers For People Shot In Church Praying

President Donald Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and many other political leaders sent their “thoughts and prayers” to Sutherland Springs, Texas, on Sunday after a gunman killed 26 people and injured 20 more at the First Baptist Church.

But many on Twitter pointed out that the victims were attending church, likely already engaged in prayer, and still suffered at the hands of a gunman.

Now, they say, it’s time for politicians to offer something more than thoughts and prayers:

Simple minded people go whichever way the wind blows. The rest of us will invite you to come personally for our weapons.

Prayers won’t save people in the face of an AR-15 with a large capacity magazine. Only an armor plated vehicle would save people. Prayers do nothing.

True but, another guy with an AR-15 stopped the killing.

God really had a mysterious plan for people in that church. Isn't it too late to pray for 26 of them?

Many atheists enjoy sneering in self-perceived superiority over the mythopoeic.

And yet the power of positive thinking is well recognized both by science, and pragmatism.

Prayer focuses the mind.
Community prayer, in the form of formalized verbal prayer to a congregation, can unify a community in thought and effort.

Sneer all you like.
What counterpart can the atheist community boast about?

The Bundy clan talked the same shit, right before the government came and took their guns from them, and their asses right along with them.

And if they decided to do it to you, the same result would happen.

The wind direction at that moment not withstanding.

Yeah so, were they praying some Atheist wouldn't walk in, and kill them? Those people are in Heaven, I pray for their family members left behind who are grieving, is that ok, how about prayer for the community, how about prayer for the pastor who lost a 14 yr old daughter, or the Parents of the 18 month old baby that was killed because some atheist piece of garbage like you couldn't wait to kill over something he doesn't believe in, you good with that you crass idiot?
Thanks from sumara
