Yes and:
it's difficult to know whether this election was a referendum on the Trump administration, or the broader Republican party.
Perhaps both.

Competent chess players plot several moves in advance.
At this point, it seems whomever the Dems nominate will be a shoo in in 2020.
Who will it be?
Sean (P Diddy) Colmes?
Tim Keane?
Thanks from Camelot

Ironically, it was the Freedom Caucus (aka Teabaggers) that forced 60+ repeal votes over the last 8 years w/o any replacement at all. The moderates retiring in the Republican Party will isolate the party in the hands of far right wingnuts all but assuring that there wil be many more Virginia’s in the near future. We will hang Don the Con around their necks in EVERY congressional race.

You brought Chess in the picture and believe it or not, I beat the third best Chess player in California. He said how did you do that and I said I looked six moves in advance which he said IMPOSSIBLE! I never read a Chess book and had no idea what a Queen's Gambit means.

You look foolish. You right wingers love all things Putin and Russia. You support an unfit clown that wants us to be Russia and colluded with them to make it happen. A Russian loving commie callling us on the Left comrade’s is just too funny.

Heavily gerrymandered Republican districts fell to Democrats last night and now Democrats control the legislature. This has sent a chill down the spine of any Republican up for re-election in 2018. They will now turn on the con and his agenda will be dead on arrival including his huge tax cut proposal for the wealthiest in the country. RESIST !!!

"Joe Biden or John Kerry." C #35
a) too old
b) they've both run before, both (obviously) washed out
c) Communicating sophisticated messages via the ballot, a blunt instrument.
But the message I read from the election of President Trump, and yesterday's obvious rejection of the GOP is:

- We want something different. BUT !!
- Out of the frying-pan, into the fire ain't good enough. We want different BETTER!!

Where on the Bernie Sanders to Rand Paul spectrum that falls, I don't got know eye deer.

My personal opinion:
The U.S. electorate's chorus, their harmonic refrain is:
- We've never had it so good, and
- we're sick & tired of it!

How else could Donald Trump possibly have beat a dozen more qualified candidates to win the Republican primary?

Uh-Uh, the Democrats need to get young, to retire some of the old warhorses and get some fresh blood up there in front of the public.

They need to get some Kennedy looking candidates, inspirational types.
And some young ideas, something to shift the paradigm.

Thank you

Just more of the regressive lie from Tris. Trump said there were good people on both sides, as some who were there to protest the removal of the monuments were not KKK or "supremacists", and some protesting the KKK et al were not antifa. But then he knows that.
Thanks from Sabcat and discollector
