Personal opinions, please. Would it be

beneficial for this country ..and the world..if Russia and the US developed more congenial relationships? Within the two nations, is there anyone or group that could bring these two huge military nations together to work toward and establish that "war" is no longer acceptable?

I have been saying for some time that russia and the states working together is a good thing but apparently american leftists only agree w/ working w/ russia when a murderous communist is running the show.

Go figure.
It was good to work with Russia during the Obama era.

Hillary as SOS, brought a big red restart button which had the wrong Russian word on it, and MSM did not call her an idiot.

Obama ridiculed Romney during Obama's reelection campaign for saying that Russian was a threat. He was caught on open mike groveling to Russia, but no big deal from the MSM.

The brave keyboard warriors that says everything changed because of Russia invaded Ukraine all have collective amnesia about Russia invading Georgia in 2008.

It is TDS at it's finest.
Thanks from Sabcat and Hashtag

And now? Now rightists ridicule Romney's opinion, TWS at its finest. Or.......

You're saying, Obama was right, and Romney is just a fear-filled sissy???

No, I made a error in while typing last post. Romney was ridiculed by Obama during 2012 reelection campaign and also by the MSM for his anti-Russia remarks.

You guys have to make up your mind about Putin. Is he or is he not the boogeyman?

do you think geopolitics has an end result, or somehow we are working to an eventual conclusion?

He's a murderous, KGB son of a bitch. He kills his political opponents. He f**ked my wife's homeland. He's a liar.

He thinks the breakup of the USSR was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century.

However, he and his oligarch buddies have fleeced the Russian people and have failed to address severe infrastructure needs.

He's a provocateur. A thief.

He isn't smarter than Obama, but he is smarter than Trump and much more politically savvy and he can and will get everything he wants out of Trump.

Yes, he's a boogeyman.

Why do you like about him? What has he done that you admire?
Thanks from Clara007

I don't like him other than as a news celebrity that makes for conversation such as this one.

At another forum, I once spent a lot of effort to dispel from the mind of his worshipers they media generated myth that he was a Judo master.

Putin is a persona that is larger than life and intrudes our politics and mind more than it has to. Putin didn't become this sinister former KGB spy/killer recently. He always has been who he is. Why was trying to deal with Russia good then, and bad now? Other than partisan political posturing?
Thanks from Hashtag

Because initially he was very subtle in establishing his dictatorship and expressing his desires to become Czar of the new Russian empire. That realization came to the west slowly.
