My issue with the Kurig is I like my coffee extra strong and I haven't found a pod that tastes right. I use a little 4 cup maker, which is actually only 2 mugs worth. Plus there's the cost. $100 for the maker then 25 to 50 cents a cup for the pods versus $20 for the small maker 10 cents for a pot.

Just use less water, BubbaJones - it will come out stronger. If you use one of the Starbucks dark roasts and use 10oz water instead of 12oz, you're gonna get an extra strong dark cup of coffee!

Maybe so but I'm just too cheap !! LOL As long as my little maker works and Costco carries their dark roast I'm a happy camper !!!! The flip side is of course, I travel for work (A LOT) and spend a few dollar at Starbucks !!

But I think it's hilarious that people are smashing their $100 coffee pots !!!

That is not so. They need machines in operation to sell their coffee pods, where the money really is. This in not the old days when you just went to the A&P and bought a can of "Chock full o'Nuts" and brewed it in a percolator

Hannity will be replacing any Keuring machines smashed. Probably something much better.

Pretty much everyone sells knock offs that fit the Keurig machines just fine.

“I don't have one. They're kind of expensive to use,” John Sylvan told me frankly, of Keurig K-Cups, the single-serve brewing pods that have fundamentally changed the coffee experience in recent years. “Plus it’s not like drip coffee is tough to make.” Which would seem like a pretty banal sentiment, were Sylvan not the inventor of the K-Cup.

...

Looking back on his invention, amid increasing public condemnation of K-Cups as a scourge on the planet, Sylvan told me, “I feel bad sometimes that I ever did it.”

If you need such a machine there are better brands of machines.
