Listened to Al Franken's mike

appearance this morning. What I took away from it is that he apologizes again but seems to say he didn't know he did anything wrong. He has "learned" from all of this and wants to be an "advocate".

Is it possible that a man of his age didn't know it was not acceptable to grab a woman by the rear end...or pat it? He says he "hugs" a lot of people, so did he think his hand actions were part of hugging?

I don't think patting a butt is a criminal action nor some verbal language a woman might find offensive....but they are not acceptable in business connections nor politics. Once mmight be an accident, twice...well but 3 times is too much of a habit.

In this day of "women's lib", women should address such things the first time...saying don't do that/say such things, I find it offensive...then see what happens. There are few shrinking violets in todays world of women in the work force.

OKAY--listen up. I'm going to "EXPLAIN" something and naturally everyone is going to have "COW" so let me say this first:

I am not defending Al Franken--NOT DEFENDING--so if your first reaction is to say I AM--go away.

What business was Al Franken in before he ran for congress? Anyone?? Hands up!
He was a comedian, an actor and a writer. He developed an interest in improvisational theater at the college preparatory school The Blake School, he was hired as a writer for SNL at its inception in 1975. He worked on the show as a writer and performer until 1980, and returned from 1985 to 1995. After leaving SNL, he wrote and acted in movies and television shows. Wiki

NOW, for those of you who have worked in theater or dance or musicals or film or any kind of performance, what do WE often have to do when we are acting out a part or dancing with a partner or singing with a group?? Here it comes. Better sit down.
WE TOUCH OTHER PEOPLE.
YES we do. Dancers TOUCH each other. Girls get grabbed in all sorts of places--on their bodies. Actors kiss, hug, touch, grab, swing, punch, lift, pull, etc.
Costumes are revealing. Ever been to a ballet? Male dancers? In TIGHTS?

These same people become friends. They share apartments. They share dressing rooms. They change clothes in front of each other. It's all very "NO big deal".

My point is this. There are all sorts of situations that ALLOW touching, particularly in the entertainment business.

AND again......."I AM NOT DEFENDING FRANKEN!"

George w bush was an alcoholic becore he became POTUS. Alcoholics are notorious for doing all kinds of things that are not socially acceptable. Acording to claras logic if bush would have puked all over somones wife as they were taking a photo it would be no problem, as he was an alcoholic before he was elected and we all knew about it.

According to your logic, Franken is going to hurt Democrats, and Moore is going to be good for Republicans.

Can't wait to see how that works out for you.
Thanks from RNG and Camelot

I think this is the fourth thread on Franken. These same people deny Moore sexually assaulting teen girls. Very telling. #family values.

There is video and photographic evidence of Franken's actions.

Where is the proof of Moore's, 5 accusers and in less than 3 weeks 2 have been proven liars.

How did you make that connection? I don't believe that i have stated an opinion on either one politically since all of these scandals have come up, though i do live in MN and am not a fan of Al especially since all of those votes for him mysteriously showed up in the trunk of a car.

But please feel.free to expand, if you can. Though i highly expect this to be yet another of your fly by posts. Of no substance. Very progressive.

Apparently it is, as you did not.

Not surprised.

Keep up the good work.

Really?
I know this one was lying
https://www.washingtonpost.com/inves...=.4274d1e15e00

The only liars so far are Moore and his people.
His people have been caught lying about the accusers, they do it to fool morons into believing the kind of stuff that you believe.
