North Korea fires missile that shows it can hit 'everywhere in the world'

Trump previously had warned Kim: Do not try us.

So, now what?
North Korea fires missile that shows it can hit 'everywhere in the world'

North Korea issued a direct challenge to President Donald Trump with the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that Defense Secretary James Mattis said demonstrates it has the ability to hit "everywhere in the world."

Pyongyang launched a Hwasong-14 missile in the early hours of Wednesday morning local time that flew higher, and demonstrated a longer range, than any of its previous tests.

It was the first missile fired in almost two months, and came despite Trump's repeated warnings, delivered again during this trip to South Korea earlier this month in a direct message to North Korea: "do not try us."

The missile launched Wednesday spent around 53 minutes in the air, reaching a height of up to 4,500 kilometers (2,800 miles), before splashing down in waters around 210 kilometers (130 miles) west of Japan's Aomori prefecture, according to authorities in Japan and South Korea.

Hours after the launch, Trump sounded more restrained, telling reporters Tuesday at the White House that the US "will handle" the situation. "We will take care of it," the President said, adding later that North Korea "is a situation that we will handle."

Mattis, who was with Trump in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, outlined how much tougher that situation has become. The test missile, he said, went "higher, frankly, than any previous shot they have taken" and demonstrates that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un now has the ability to hit "everywhere in the world basically."

"The bottom line is, it's a continued effort to build a threat -- a ballistic missile threat that endangers world peace, regional peace and certainly the United States," Mattis concluded

The Republican President, twitter-in-chief himself tells us all is well, especially in the keeping those brown fellows out of the country.

Oh, yeah, there is a(nother) nuke armed crazy guy out there but don't worry about it.

After North Korea missile launch, it's more important than ever to fund our gov't & military! Dems shouldn't hold troop funding hostage for amnesty & illegal immigration. I ran on stopping illegal immigration and won big. They can't now threaten a shutdown to get their demands.

Total control of Congress and the Republican President still tries to blame the Democrats rather than his own Republican party. What a joke.

He doesn't "blame" the Dems for the missile launch. He makes the point they would like to not pass legislation to fund the military etc.
The Dems would support more illegals over the military...

So much for the Con’s “red line”......LOL....I guess the Con is finding out that just using useless threats won’t achieve squat. Who knew that geopolitics could be this hard ?

Camelot with a baseless attack on President Trump.

And what did Obama do about this situation for the eight years he was in office?

That is the point Excalibur. Obama was blamed by you right wingers for not achieving the impossible. There is nothing short of war and mass casualties on the Pacific Rim that the Con can do. But he continues to criticize Obama and promised a quick and painless solution. Like healthcare, who could have known that geopolitics could be this hard ? In short, the Con is nothing but a bullshitter and his acolytes were stupid enough to believe his bullshit.

In other news, the Trump corp. just opened an online store this week offering items that are manufactured in China and Bangladesh. Everything about the Con is fraudulent. Smart people saw this all along.

Japan reported that the latest missile hit the water and that proves Kim can hit the water. 71% of the Earth's surface is water so that is no great feat.

Kim has an insatiable desire to be in the spotlight.

edit: To hit anywhere in the world Kim's missile has to achieve 17,500 mph to achieve polar orbit to hit anywhere in the world. North Korea is at a high latitude and his bird will never achieve polar orbit where it can hit anywhere in the world. In polar orbit the Earth rotates under the missile as the bird orbits. CNN is junk news.

Some may envy Republicans for their endless duplicity.

President Obama (D-IL) was pilloried mentioning a "red line" to Syria's Assad.

Trump has uttered more definitive language than that, and now KJU has called Trump's bluff.

And Republicans fall silent.
