The entire day will soon be wasted. Oh yes, this last time the "debate" on the amendment had such topics as recognizing some home person for something.

You think there is any waste to tax dollars????
What really raises my blood pressure is when a young punk wants me to hand him my ID to buy a pack of cigarettes. To hell with that and I walked out and never went back. I left a shopping cart of groceries on his table to show my anger but said nothing back. Fuck with my smokes makes me see red.

How can you say "without debate in the Senate"? That is what was suppose to happen today. All I have heard from the Dems are amendments to send it back to the Finance Comm....no amendments about changing anything, adding to it, taking away something...just stop the "debate" and send it back.

If they are so sure about the complaints they make , where are amendments to present and debate? Senator Rubio (R) offered one to change the corporate rate from 20% to 22% and gave his reasons. Perhaps he has read and studied the Bill, while the Dems have not???

We have heard for years how 1-2% of GDP growth is not enough and is not normal, from past records...before the last 9 years. The stock market etc shows how the big upturn of GDP to a 3% is good news. The Dems answer to the 8 years of huge increases to the national debt was to spend more money or blame Bush. Now all they can talk about is how this Bill would increase it...over 10 years. Truth is the CBO uses a 1.9% growth rate to determine it's projected debt increase....and to take care of that figure all the GDP has to grow is 0.4% more than the 1.9%. One of the big things in this Bill, is to encourage corporations to come back here to invest and create jobs. Even Dems today said we do "need" to change the present rate of taxes to encourage that.

Everything and anything Obama created is being tossed into the circular file. Even John McCain is for the new tax bill which Trump will sign in a heartbeat. Now we have to wean the moochers off the gravy train. Will those people never learn?

Well, let's see......the first real restructuring of America's tax code in about 40 years is kind of a big deal. So was the Affordable Care Act, that tried to restructure the nation's health care.

How long did Congress debate and discuss and make compromises to get the ACA passed?

July 2009: House Democrats unveil their 1,000-page plan for overhauling the health care system.
March 23, 2010: President Obama signs the Affordable Care Act into law.

But you see no problem with the Republicans in the Senate trying to rush this abomination through in a week with only very limited debate over the details. I am not surprised.

It's NOT just the dems that don't know what's in it. Key republicans today had a very Pelosi moment when they admitted THEY HAVE NO IDEA what the final bill will look like because it is changing minute by minute. They actually said (just like Pelosi) "we won't know what's in it till we get ready to vote on the final version."

I would not kick Nancy Pelosi out of bed for eating crackers even though she is an old flower child.
