A Bad Day For Collusion Deniers

As if meeting Russian operatives in Chump Tower were not enough to prove collusion, now comes news that the Con and his minions were given access to the Russian-hacked emails before Wikileaks ever published them. Did they call the relevant authorities to report the hacking ?

The damn dam is breaking, Trump needs a life jacket.

Dec 7, 2017

Rachel Maddow shares the details of a Russian media report that explains that the reason Russian intelligence cyber experts were arrested for treason a year ago is that they were the sources that helped the U.S. figure out who was responsible for the DNC hack.

Wikileaks sent Trump private access and a decryption key to emails weeks before they were released

By Mark Sumner -- Dec 08, 2017 · 6:26 AM

CNN is reporting that the Trump campaign—including candidate Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and others—were offered access to Wikileaks documents, including special access to a Wikileaks website, a month before Wikileaks began publishing documents stolen from John Podesta’s account to the public.

The email came less than three weeks before WikiLeaks itself messaged Trump Jr. and began an exchange of direct messages on Twitter. Trump Jr. told investigators he had no recollection of the September email.

The email, which apparently slipped the memory of history’s most forgetful campaign team, included a decryption key and address for documents stolen by Russian hackers and later distributed through Wikileaks. It’s not clear if the email, which came addressed from “Mike Erickson” is from the same person who later began conversing with Donald Trump Jr. through private messages on Twitter.

Trump Jr.'s attorney, Alan Futerfas, told CNN that his client said he had no recollection of the email and took no action on it. The White House did not respond to requests for comment, and efforts to reach WikiLeaks for comment were unsuccessful.

The email has been turned over to congressional investigators. ...............

Email from CNN this morning:

Quote:
Candidate Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr. and others in the Trump Organization received an email in September 2016 offering a decryption key and website address for hacked WikiLeaks documents, according to an email provided to congressional investigators.

The September 4 email was sent during the final stretch of the 2016 presidential race -- two months after the hacked emails of the Democratic National Committee were made public and one month before WikiLeaks began leaking the contents of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta's hacked emails.

The email came less than three weeks before WikiLeaks itself messaged Trump Jr. and began an exchange of direct messages on Twitter. Trump Jr. told investigators he had no recollection of the September email.

Hmmm, offered access to Wikileaks is collusion, but Hillary and the DNC buying the dossier straight from Putin's intelligence agencies is opposition research. LOL

We now have confirmed proof of Obama's DoJ (Mr. Ohr) meeting with Steele, add in that there exists a strong possibility that Obama's FBI also paid for the dossier.

For some reason this reminded me of Bill Clinton & Loretta Lynch's "tarmac meeting". I wonder if there's a connection. lol

Are you really that brainwashed....or do you just like to lie?

The Fusion GPS research into T'Rump's Russian connections was for an opposition research project originally financed by a Republican client critical of the celebrity mogul Trump. The project’s financing later switched to a client allied with Democrats after TRump won the Republican nomination. Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent who was an expert in Russia-related issues. He wrote the dossier. Much of it has been confirmed.

Your fraudulent claim about the "DNC buying the dossier straight from Putin's intelligence agencies" is total bullshit, you pathetic liar.

LOL Fusion GPS was turned into Hillary and the DNC buying and paying for the dossier, which came straight out of Putin's intelligence agencies. Of course morons would refer to that as "opposition research", then turn around and call any research into Hillary as "collusion". It is a known fact that only after the Hillary campaign and the DNC got in touch with Steele that this dossier was put together. As the WaPo reported:

Quote:
The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about President Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

Marc E. Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS, a Washington firm, to conduct the research.

After that, Fusion GPS hired dossier author Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community, according to those people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...bb9_story.html

But we now know that the Obama DoJ was involved with the dossier, that is an entirely different kettle of fish.

How about that.

Quote:
All of that is moot, however. The Washington Post reported later in the day that the e-mail in question was sent after the material had already been published on Wikileaks. Oopsie!
A 2016 email sent to President Trump and top aides pointed the campaign to hacked documents from the Democratic National Committee that had already been made public by the group WikiLeaks a day earlier.

The email — sent the afternoon of Sept. 14, 2016 — noted that “Wikileaks has uploaded another (huge 678 mb) archive of files from the DNC” and included a link and a “decryption key,” according to a copy obtained by The Washington Post. …

The full email — which was first described to CNN as being sent on Sept. 4, 10 days earlier — indicates that the writer may have simply been flagging information that was already widely available.

The message also noted that information from former secretary of state Colin Powell’s inbox was available “on DCLeaks.com.” That development, too, had been publicly reported earlier that day.
In other words, CNN’s big scoop consists of this: Trump campaign officials received an e-mail directing them to publicly available information, and there is literally no evidence that they even noticed it let alone acted on it. It also provides zero indication of any cooperation or coordination between Trump and Wikileaks, which may or may not have been operating as a witting or unwitting front for Russian intelligence. Had Team Trump been colluding with either or both, in fact, there would have been no need to e-mail them the encryption key, either before or after the publication date.

CNN becomes the third major media outlet in the past week to rush out a “scoop” before checking its information thoroughly. And as it was with ABC’s Brian Ross on Michael Flynn and Bloomberg on Deutsche Bank, the immediate impact of these false reports was to create suspicion about Trump and his motives without any evidence. Perhaps media outlets should slow down and exercise the benefits of the “layers of fact-checkers and editors” about which we’ve been told ad infinitum. At the very least, let’s get an explanation as to how that failed in this case and Bloomberg’s (ABC has at least responded in regard to Ross’s false report).
