Of course Oprah has been accused of pimping for Weinstein. She is a nasty person.

It's absolutely true.
True? Not sure about that. May be a better solution would be if those who are marinating in racism and prejudism and victimhood sat down together and cleared the air. That means both, the ones who may have caused misery and those who dwell on it, need to come together and look for what makes them alike more than what tears them apart.
It worked in my family. Both sides were standoffish and stood with" our kind chile". Removing either side from the equation makes the situation less tense for a while, but doesn't do anything for actual healing.
We bring up our kids with prejudism even today. We are scaring our kids, letting them think people of different colors are out to get them.
What if we got to know each other better?
Oprah is milking a very lucrative situation, but she doesn't help the healing process with such rhetoric.
Like I said, her words can be interpreted in different ways, but they are out there and they are divisive.

Lets also look at this a bit more, shall we?
From the article
Quote:
She also took on the manner in which President Obama has been treated in office.

“Just the level of disrespect – when the senator yelled out ‘you’re a liar,’ remember that?” she said, presumably refering to the instance in which Rep. Joe Wilson shouted the words “You lie!” at the president while he was addressing a joint session of Congress.

“I think there’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs, and that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African-American,” she said.
Oprah: old racists 'have to die' to achieve racial progress | MSNBC

It seems that we should be treating only a black sitting potus with respect. An old white guy...everything goes. I wonder what Oprah is saying about our current climate, or if she even leads the charge calling Trump a few choice names, and doing so, disrespecting the citizens who voted for him.

I have never heard of any such thing.

And I have spent forty-five years working in the entertainment industry.

That is the kind of libelous statement that should not be considered free-speech - it should be considered litigious and/or criminal.
Thanks from Clara007

If saying those things about a Hollywood celebrity should be criminal, then I suppose all the things said about Trump should be considered litigious and criminal as well?

Is there a difference between name calling and making a statement about the actions of somebody else and presenting them as fact?

There's way more reason to believe that the Republican President has hookers piss on him than to believe that of Oprah.

I really don't want her to be the Democratic challenger, but more crap like this might force me to pretend, just to note my personal disdain for claims like that to support her.
