We mostly punt them. There is a bit more leniency based on true hardship and my big complaint is that once one is in legally, basically the entire extended family including various gardeners and babysitter seem to be able to sneak in.

We are too lax after the first one legal enters.

Another large frustration I have is that Canada is the only other country in the world besides the US that has jus soli.

Many Chinese come here to give birth just so that if the kid has some bad or expensive medical condition, they ship him over right now for my tax dollars to fix him. That is a user that unlike the natural citizens has never contributed to the system. It sucks.

Trump said in a meeting with Democrats yesterday a clean DACA bill would be passed along with a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

That’s going to make for an awkward conversation around the table tonight huh?

They give them food, money, and a car, the same thing President Oprah would do.

No, he didn't. He said any DACA bill would have to include border wall funding, etc., and then a comprehensive bill could be passed later.

The Judiciary does not make the Laws, unless they're Democrats.

NO! I do not think DACA is a law. It isn't, but IT WILL BE IF....Trump GETS immigration reform and HIS WALL.

The checks and balances I referred to are congressional negotiation and legislation. Let's see what happens.

Clearly you did since you claimed Trump couldn’t “rescind”DACA because Congress has the power to “amend laws”.

Checks and balances would have been Congress passing proposed law and the President signing it into law. Some of these kids entered illegally themselves at an age that they knew full well what they were doing, not all came with their parents. There is nothing about deportation that is inhumane, even the Human Rights Organization recognizes deportation as a legitimate means of law.

Yes YES. I totally get that DACA was Obama's EO. Trump rescinded Obama's DACA EO in Sept 2017, but the courts have NOT agreed with Trump's view, which brings me to "checks and balances".

An overwhelming majority of Americans WANT the Dreamers to have a path to citizenship and considering the roundtable, bipartisan conversation yesterday it sure sounds to me like the GOP is also sympathetic to the Dreamers. The GOP also wants immigration reform and Trump wants his wall. This will be their power play to Dems: Give us the wall and we'll give you DACA legislation.
Now......
Please provide a link/source for your statement "some of these kids entered illegally".

Provide the source or link that says they all came in with their parents. SHRUG

Common sense says not all came in with their parents, to include numerous articles of unaccompanied children crossing our border.
Thanks from webguy4 and Sensible

You misquoted me. Here's what I said: Trump is not going to end the policy because IT'S not his call to make. Thank God for our checks and balances.

Then I added this: I should have been more specific. Trump can overturn EOs and he did. President Trump rescinded the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program Sept. 5, 2017, but the Constitution gives Congress, not the President, the power to make and to amend the laws.
More than likely Congress will negotiate DACA to include immigration reform...at least that's what Trump indicated yesterday.

Why do you insist on lying about what I posted?
