The rule against wearing different types of fabric was not a moral law. There is nothing inherently wrong with weaving linen and wool together. In fact, the ephod of the high priest was made of linen and dyed thread (Exodus 28:6–8; 39:4–5). The dyed thread would have been made of wool. This fact is probably the key to understanding the prohibition. The ephod of the high priest was the only garment that could be woven of linen and wool. No one else was allowed to have such a garment. Apparently, this rule was to place some distance between the high priest and the people, with the ultimate purpose of reminding Israel of how holy God truly is

In Colossians 2:16–17 the apostle Paul declares, “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” We are no longer commanded to cease working on the Sabbath, nor is Sunday now the “Christian Sabbath.” Although many Christians prefer to take Sunday off and spend at least part of it in corporate worship, working on Sunday is not sin. Many Christians, such as doctors and nurses, have no choice but to work on Sunday and, as a society, we should be very grateful to them. But Christians who work on Sunday should do so with the understanding that worship is not limited to any one day of the week but is to be an ongoing part of their lives.
Working on Sunday is definitely not a sin. Working on Sunday is not prohibited in the Bible. The idea that Christians should not be working on Sunday comes from a misunderstanding of Old Testament Sabbath-keeping for the Israelites and its relation to Sunday worship for Christians. According to Exodus 20:8–11, the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week on which the Israelites were to rest in remembrance that God created the universe in six days and then “rested” on the seventh day. “Keeping the Sabbath holy” was defined as not working on the Sabbath.
Dude, you worship and obey the words of the apostle PAUL and NOT necessarily Jesus the Christ????

Good grief people.

Abortion is none of your business. Plain and simple.

Don't like it? Don't have one. Get over it.

I'm not a Christian, so it has never been anything I was particularly curious about. So, was it ancient Hebrew or what? I mean the guy was Jewish, right?

Perhaps you should bow out of a conversation about Jesus, given your admitted ignorance on the subject.

How do you differentiate the two.

In another thread someone said we do not visit the sins of the parents on the children but that is exactly what this is.
We are engaging the subject. We're trying to protect them from hypocrites like you from deporting American children to another country they don't know.

We're also trying to protect them from hypocrites like you for denying them food by cutting of their parents food stamps.

We're also trying to protect them from hypocrites like you for denying them healthcare by denying them healthcare by taking away their parents ability to afford health insurance, taking away premium subsidies, and expanding Medicaid in the states they live in.

We're also trying to protect them from hypocrites like you by closing homeless shelters where many homeless children in America, you know, that shining capitalist city on the hill, live, because they have no place else to go, through gentrification projects in the cities in which they find themselves.

We're also trying to protect them from hypocrites like you by denying them the chance to succeed through higher education by weighting them down with debt they may never be able to repay, something no other country on the planet does to their children, or denying them any chance at higher education at all.

We're also tying to protect them from hypocrites like you that support Presidents like George W. Bush, that have no problem starting illegal wars on total trumped up bullshit, getting tens of thousands of them killed, and maimed.

We're also tying to protect them from hypocrites like you for supporting a prison industrial complex that makes sure thousands of them go from a classroom to a prison cell for profit by private corporations.

So, to summarize: stop killing our children in these ways, and then maybe we’ll take you seriously when you pretend to care about babies. Until then, save the theatrics. I don't buy it. Sorry.

The words of Paul are inspired by Christ, do you understand how the Bible was written, completely the inspired word of God.

Don't want a baby, don't get pregnant, many believe it's murder, including myself, not based on the law, but based on truth!

Why exactly should i bow out of the conversation? Jesus is a person of historical importance, just because i do not practice the Christian religion does not mean I am completely ignorant of his teachings. I am not a Buddhist, yet I am aware of the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama.
You appear to be trying to present yourself as having some level of expertise on the subject. It would seem that you are exactly the person i should ask such questions of.
You have asked posters here what word was used in the time of Jesus to describe abortion, seems to me that to ask what language he spoke is a perfectly logical question.
Thanks from RNG and catus felis
