EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt suggests climate change could benefit humans

The fox is guarding the henhouse....

Welcome to the Twilight Zone, courtesy of Trump and his science-be-damned Wonderful World of Alternative Facts.

Mr. Pruitt
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt suggests climate change could benefit humans

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt suggested Tuesday that climate change could benefit humans, despite scientific evidence to the contrary.

In an interview with KSNV in Las Vegas, Pruitt conceded that climate change is a reality and humans have contributed to it "to a certain degree." However, the EPA administrator cast doubt on its negative long-term implications.

"Is it an existential threat? Is it something that is unsustainable, or what kind of effect or harm is this going to have? I mean, we know that humans have most flourished during times of what? Warming trends," Pruitt said. "I think there's assumptions made that because the climate is warming, that that necessarily is a bad thing. Do we really know what the ideal surface temperature should be in the year 2100? In the year 2018? I mean it's fairly arrogant for us to think that we know exactly what it should be in 2100."

These cabinet members are so incredibly PATHETIC--the worst in history.
*Rick Perry who can't figure out what the Dept of Energy DOES so he wanted to dismantle it.
*Betsy de Vos who hates public schools.
*Steve Mnuchin who excels in holding fundraisers but needs to know IF there's actual GOLD in Ft. Knox.
*Tom Price can recommend a heck of a deal on biotech stock options.
*Andrew Puzder, whose company has been legally cited for wage theft.
*Ben Carson who has precisely zero experience in housing policy, but hey--he's the token black guy.
*Mick Mulvaney--the guy who employed a nanny and didn't report her payroll taxes.
*Wilbur Ross who looks like he's at death's door and employed illegal immigrants as household staff.
*18 men (all white and wealthy except ONE)
*4 women (one of which is McConnell's wife)

Come on Clara. Carson knows all about storing grain. Is storing people all that different?

Or is it another thing that "who knew it could be so complicated"?

And Pruitt....
On March 29, 2017 Pruitt denied an administrative petition by the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Pesticide Action Network North America to ban chlorpyrifos, explaining "we are returning to using sound science in decision-making – rather than predetermined results".[86] On April 5, 2017, Earthjustice sued the EPA, again demanding that the pesticide be banned.

The American Academy of Pediatrics responded to the administration's decision, saying they were "deeply alarmed" by Pruitt's decision to allow the pesticide's continued use.

Asked in April whether he had met with Dow Chemical Company executives or lobbyists before his decision, an EPA spokesman replied: "We have had no meetings with Dow on this topic." In June, after several Freedom of Information Act requests, the EPA released a copy of Pruitt's March meeting schedule which showed that a meeting had been scheduled with Dow CEO Andrew Liveris at a hotel in Houston, Texas, on March 9 2017.
Lying, compromised POS. No wonder Trump appointed him.
Pruitt represented Tulsa and Wagoner Counties in the Oklahoma Senate from 1998 until 2006. In 2010, Pruitt was elected Attorney General of Oklahoma. In that role, he opposed abortion rights, same-sex marriage, the Affordable Care Act, and environmental regulations as a self-described "leading advocate against the EPA's activist agenda." In his campaigns for Oklahoma Attorney General, Pruitt received major corporate and employee campaign contributions from the fossil fuel industry, taking in at least $215,574 between 2010 and 2014, even though he ran unopposed in the latter year.
They just love him!!! In closing....
On April 28, 2017, Pruitt fired scientists from the agency's 18-member Board of Scientific Counselors, indicating he intends to replace them with industry representatives.

NO DOUBT about it. Pesticides are our friends. Minnesota could use some of that global warming thingy. Coal should be washed in the Samsung washers.
Pediatricians are stupid. Gays, scientists, and people with healthcare issues should be exterminated like the vermin they are.

Axios Science has an interesting view of this.

It's written in the form of a fact-check.
