The business oriented Republican President

So many wanted a businessman as president. Well, you got him. Especially a businessman like the Republican President is only interested in personal and corporate (his corporation) profit.

And if he has to screw some laborers, contractors, suppliers and citizen that elected him, well, that's the Conservative way.

Trump India 'dinner and chat' property offer criticised

Investors in a luxury property development in India are being offered the chance to have "conversation and dinner" with Donald Trump Jr.

The eldest son of the US president is visiting India this week and will promote the Trump Towers development near Delhi.

Critics say the Trump family is cashing in on the president's name.

But Mr Trump Jr has said he has been building relationships in India for years.
Dotard Jr. says he has been building relationships in India for years. Did that include promises that when Daddy became the Republican President, they'd get to chat with him?

In a capitalist society, the only thing that should be expected of a businessman is corporatism.

Mussolini agreed that fascism should be called "corporatism" as it is the merging of corporations and the state.

Bump.

No "conservatives" want to try and defend this?

Where are the Republican President fans telling us what the situation really is?

Will Baghdad Bobbett Sanders interpret it for us?

So they are trying to use facetime with the Republican President for the investors to get more money into his pocket, that's what.

You didn't read the article, did you.

To recap: Here's the problem. Junior is selling access to the sitting president and apparently India is buying that access.
First, it’s clear that the Trump administration is still embroiled in huge conflicts of interest. And second, it’s evident that the Trump brand, though toxic at home, commands surprising power in the world’s second most populous country.

President Trump’s eldest son will be spending his time in India promoting Trump-branded luxury apartments across the country. He’ll be meeting with real estate brokers and potential buyers throughout the week in his family business’s biggest market outside the US.

He’s also offering a special reward to Indians who buy property from him: He’ll join them for an intimate meal.
Experts say Junior is selling access to himself — and by proxy, to the president of the US — in exchange for buying his products. He knows that if a member of the Indian elite wants a chance to advocate for a policy that they’d like to see enacted, buying Trump property is a simple way to do it.

Indian newspapers have been running advertisements that promise homebuyers willing to pay a roughly $38,000 booking fee an opportunity to “join Mr. Donald Trump Jr. for a conversation and dinner.”

Donald Trump Jr. sells America's integrity ..... cheap

How much you figure it adds to the price of "classy" condos if buying one meant you had access to "a conversation and dinner" with Trump Jr.?
Donald Trump Jr. sells America's integrity cheap

With Donald Trump as President, American integrity is on sale -- get it while it lasts.

This week's exhibit: Donald Trump Jr. is in India, mixing political business and personal enrichment. Trump the younger is set to give a foreign policy speech and hawk Trump-branded apartments near Delhi, with one of the selling points being "a conversation and dinner" with Trump Jr.

The relatively small number of Indians wealthy enough to afford a luxury apartment aren't just getting the chance to live in places bedecked with the vulgar, gold-plated Trump name (the Trumps didn't invest in the project, just licensed their name to it). They're also getting access to the President's son -- who far from being a disinterested party, avidly inserts himself into debates over his father's presidency and policies -- in exchange for enriching the Trump family.

How did we get to this deeply troubling point? This isn't just a business trip for the acting head of the President's business empire. Trump Jr. and his brother Eric Trump are supposed to be heading the organization while their father is in office. The two are not meant to be enmeshed in the administration.

So why is Junior planning to give a speech about Indo-Pacific relations, appearing on the bill just behind Indian President Narendra Modi? It defies logic to suggest that he isn't speaking as a representative of the American administration, which makes it all the more egregious that he's leveraging his political access to sell apartment units.

Another issue is the candidate who says that they will run government "like a business". Sounds great on the surface, but it doesn't work, simply because the government (on any level from local/small town to Federal) is not a business. A business makes money, the government does not, it takes money by force from the citizenry (and this is from all nation states, pay the government their taxes or go to jail and lose the house).

Businesses must make a profit to survive, the government does not and invariably all governments lose money because it spends more than it takes in. Businesses can fail and disappear. Governments cannot fail. A government can be overthrown, but another government takes its place. A government like Iceland goes bankrupt, but there is still a government in Iceland. No matter how much our favorite fuck up, cannot get their shit together State of Illinois is, there will always be a State of Illinois. The government of Illinois can be full of corruption and lose everything and still exist, while a private interest like Enron or Worldcom sink likes a lead boat anchor.

So why vote for someone who will run the government like a business? Sort of like trying to teach a cat to be a dog. The cat and dog are two different animals entirely, who do and act different ways and can benefit man in different ways. Cannot teach a cat to guard your home and cannot teach a dog to chase mice.

Now, the leader of the American government is trying to be a CEO instead of a President, and really someone who was mostly a craptastic CEO to begin with who has floated on lots of money and knowing bankruptcy laws. Just a fail.

Odd to complain about an already wealthy family, continueing the business interests...when you probably thought it was just fine for the "broke when we left the White House" Hillary and Slick Willy using positions to now be very wealthy. That "Clinton foundation" sure paid big dividends for the Clintons, while Hillary was
Sect of State. Russia alone made them big bucks.
