nothing that remotely resembles rape, sexual assault or sexual harassment.

OY!! Why is it that the concept of CONSENT is so completely off the boys' radar?? Do these guys need a picture book? Do we need to brand the word on a bat and hit them on the head with it??

CONSENT (SEXUAL CONSENT): Consent is when someone agrees, gives permission, or says "yes" to sexual activity with other persons. Consent is always freely given and all people in a sexual situation must feel that they are able to say "yes" or "no" or stop the sexual activity at any point.

AND Boys! DO NOT start the "stupidness"--the body language, appearance, non-verbal, previous reputation, where were you--why were you---what were you drinking.....crap.

Let's review: CONSENT. MATTERS.

I currently have a friend outside L.A. who is having his life ruined by a vicious woman who is accusing him of sexual harassment...and she has got several other women to jump on the band wagon and accuse him as well.

His heinous actions? Saying "you look great!" "Good morning, gorgeous!" "hello, gorgeous!" - and his dispensing gift certificates from In-and-Out Burger (a very popular west coast chain restaurant) as Christmas gifts (apparently the name of the restaurant chain is offensive).

Oh, yeah - he's a very out gay man and gay activist. Not exactly primed to sexually harass women.

This is one of the reasons I'm so VEHEMENTLY opposed to the asshatism of the opening posts video.

If I was your friend, I think this is one of those cases where the best defense is a good offence. I would SUE. I'd file a huge multi-million dollar defamation of character law suit. If he's openly gay, he should have little trouble in court.

No. Im not into that stuff. That must be more of you thinking that everything that goes on inside of your echo chamber exists in plenty in the general population.

You did not watch the video. The point is made very clearly. It is not abstract yet you continue to post on it as you did.

Had you not said this

You are very far outside of this insanity. Here is the most likely response to that very legitimate defense.

Rape is about power.

Your intentions do not reflect the victims feelings

This is a person of authority taking advantage of a subordinate from a protected class.

Gay men are now very, very far down on the victim mentality chain of power especially if they are white.

This is the sad state of affairs that the radical left has created and unfortunately it sounds like thr person in question is in CA. Probably SOL there.

Seven and a half sentences and only ONE that was even close to cogent??

Rape IS about power. Good job. Keep practicing and maybe someday you'll be TRULY able to grasp the discussions we're having.

To my way of thinking these people think they have nothing to lose by filing a complaint. They can get rid of the boss and maybe collect a few dollars from the city. If he files defamation of characters suits against them it is no longer a "nothing to lose" game. If it truly is all made up and just bullying tactics by career bureaucrats who don't like the new politically appointed boss they will likely change their tunes very quickly. They will realize that if they can't make the charges stick, if the investigation goes against them, or simply can't be pursued due to lack of evidence, then they will be on the hook for the defamation.

Prisons are full of people still proclaiming their innocence. So simply denying the charges these days is not enough. Getting proactive, going after the people making the claims, would show me he's truly not guilty.

@Lyzza

You generally approve of the way women are portrayed in these videos? Do you think the people who portray women in this light are the best spokesmen to moralize about the ills of sexual objectification & exploitation of women?

IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE ABOUT HOW SMARMY, DISTASTEFUL, OR DISRESPECFUL IT IS.

THESE WOMEN ARE WILLING - EAGER! - PARTICIPANTS.

That is the difference. Nobody is saying that women can't be tasteless and smarmy and make bad choices about the way they treat and/or exploit their bodies.

But it is NOT THE SAME THING AT ALL as sexual harassment, assault or rape.

Geesh, xMathFanx...it's really not that deep.

I completely agree with you and from a logical perspective it is correct IMO but this is no longer a logical argument.
