Foreigners trying to disrupt americans politically. This cannot be good. We must put an end to this "hacking"

Quote:

As with many words the term “hacking” has many meanings and some meanings are evolving right in front of us.

The word hacking in relation to computers means to gain unauthorized access, but the term has come to mean any attempt (by computer or not) to use novel ways to make a task easier or to manipulate something in your favor.

The Russians used novel means (social media) to manipulate the election in their favor.

Where would Trump and Kim meet?

I don't think Kim wants to leave North Korea whatsoever. Although he went to school in Switzerland as a youth, he hasn't been out of the country at all, not even to China.

I am sure Trump doesn't want to go to Pyongyang. The media in Pyongyang would spin it as American Dotard surrendering!

So where would this meeting take place?

Answer: It is never going to happen. Little Kimmy wants to be treated like an equal on the world stage. The intelligence community and the State Department will never let that happen. Just like the fools “I’m going to tear up the Iran agreement on day one” bullshit, IT AIN’T EVER GOING TO HAPPEN. Right wingers are total suckers for this con man.

IF (and I really mean IF) we had a president with an ounce of brains, I MIGHT (and I really mean MIGHT) be enthusiastic about this meeting--IF it ever gets off the ground, but considering WHO/WHAT our president is.....no way.

I think this whole thing is a VERY bad idea and I think Trump is getting played by a country that has proven itself fairly untrustworthy when it comes to nuclear weapons and promises and Trump is too stupid (and so are his advisors) to GET it. AND some foreign policy experts agree:

Jeffrey Lewis: “I wonder if Trump’s ‘aides’ have explained that to him. Or, if in their toddler-handling, they have led him to believe that this offer is something unusual. Or perhaps he imagines that only he can go [to] Pyongyang,”

Robert Kelly: "Trump’s chaotic management style, erratic, moody personality, and chronic staffing problems, especially regarding East Asia. I just don’t see it, We can always hope, but it is just as reasonable to fear that Trump, the reality TV star who somehow stumbled into the presidency for which he is woefully unfit, will wander from decades of joint US-South Korea policy, about which he naturally knows nothing, and make some kind of deal for a ‘win’ that no other US official would endorse."

Van Jackson: "Talks with North Korea are a good idea; talks involving Trump are a very bad idea."

Many other experts (online) chimed in with phrases like: "If handled appropriately", "enormously high stakes", "clear objectives", "not optimist".

AND there's this: The fact that State and the Defense Department were apparently in the dark on this is also a serious cause for concern. An effort like this will require significant preparation and a coordinated interagency approach, which is clearly nonexistent.

This whole thing is strewn with LANDMINES, Donny. Be careful where you step.

Are you sure that won't be the result of those two idiots going face to face and insult to insult?

Among a few others, I follow Jonathan Swan of Axios on twitter and he retweets quite a few NYT and WaPo reporters. The consensus among all of them is that this whole thing is, like the tariffs, him all alone, no input, no advice and no listening to anyone. This meeting decision was totally outside the State Department or Kelly or his advisors or anyone. Not even Javanka.

He owns it totally.
