The UK is detaining people for political views

First Brittany Pettibone now Lauren southern.

Quote:

Brittany Pettibone, who herself was detained under the same bogus allegations of racism just last week, is in touch with Lauren and has said that she had her passport taken off of her and was sent for questioning. She’s been put in detention and has had her phone removed.

This is the latest in a series of government-endorsed anti-nationalist discrimination. UK politicians insist that we have freedom of expression, but then refuse entry and detain people like Lauren Southern, Martin Sellner, and Brittany Pettibone, who are only guilty of journalism and activism. It begs the question, is it safe to hold right wing opinions in Britain, where people are detained at the border for that same heinous crime?

These Three Far-Right YouTubers Were Denied Entry To The United Kingdom For Being "Not Conducive To The Public Good"

"Border Force has the power to refuse entry to an individual if it is considered that his or her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good," a spokesperson told BuzzFeed News.

Sabcat loves his far Right Nazi groups. DEPLORABLE.

Quote:

He wrote for the Huffington Post on Thursday that "they hold deeply anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant views and, in many cases, have links to notorious far-right groups as well as being actively supported by white supremacists worldwide".
But Timm said his colleagues were not racist.
"Europe is pretty small and we are very few people and if we now take in a certain amount of migrants and we become a minority within our own territory then our culture will vanish and that is something we just want to prevent," he said.

He said there was "nobody that is actively a neo-Nazi" in the group.

In other words you guys approve of a nation detaining people for no other reason than having political views that you dissagree w/ yet you have the audacity to call other people nazis.

How comforting.

Their country, their rules.

I would recommend that one understands that the United Kingdom is a foreign nation and like being in any foreign nation, it pays to understand the laws and penalties a bit if you are going to lean into the law, like "me and me mate were puffin a spliff outside the pub and a wanker bobby took us to the gaol." (Translation: Myself and my friend were smoking a joint outside a bar when an asshole cop took us to jail.)

It is also their nation and can allow or disallow whomever they wish. The UK has a blacklist of Americans who are not welcome there. People like the Phelps family, David Duke etc., are off the list.

Jourmalists also need to understand that the USA has the freest media and press on Earth and realize that other nations, even "free" nations like the UK and Canada that it is commonly thought that they enjoy the same freedom. Not so.

As an aside, I have spoken to a lot of UK citizens and they all to a man hate the government, mostly because of the "wankers" in power, David Cameron being the head wanker. They hate their politicians more than Americans by far, but like Americans, feel powerless and probably more so to change their system, which while having a different government structure, still suffer from a two party monopoly not serving the people.
Thanks from guy39 and Sabcat

You are right about one thing; "it is their nation" and they have the same authority as others to set their own rules/laws etc.

The US has enough on it's own plate without trying to tell a nation like the UK how and what to do.

No doubt but they have been going after Tony Robinson for some time now. Pettibones "crime" was that she was going to interview him. So first we have thosd two and just a few days latter Mr. Southern IMO this is something that should be paid attention to. Remember that the UK is allegedly our allies in liberty.
Thanks from Neil

They also got their teeth kicked out by hateful, totalitarian regimes. They might not want that kind of shit in their country.
