From the Rasmussen report today;

"Voters More Likely Now to See Mueller Probe As Partisan Witch Hunt

Following Special Counsel Robert Mueller's invasion of the office and home of President Trump's personal lawyer, voters increasingly believe Mueller's probe is politically biased. But they also tend to think he is unlikely to nail the president for anything criminal."

This is from "likely voters".

I could believe that's what a Rassmussen poll says. They seem to have become the official propaganda arm of the RNC. They also show the Republican President with an approval rating of over 50%

Both Gallup and Fivethirtyeight have it at just under 40%. RealClearPolitics has it at 42.5%.

Scott Rasmussen has left Rasmussen Reports, one of the least accurate pollsters of the last two elections. From that perspective, you might expect that Rasmussen was fired for bad surveys.

His polls were biased toward Republican candidates in two consecutive cycles, outrageously so in 2012. He refused to interview voters with a cell phone, even though mounting research confirms they tilt toward Democratic-leaning groups. He weighted his samples to a fantasy electorate where there are millions more white, Republican voters. He uses only landline phone numbers and calls during a specific 4 hour time span.

Quote:
The pollster conducts polls in a brief, four-hour window, uses only published telephone numbers and routinely weights results for party identification -- a practice most public pollsters shy away from.

If there was an election right around the corner that factoid would mean something. But by the time an actual election occurs Mueller should have delivered some stuff that will turn that around.

Oh please, the Cohen raid has nothing to do with it. The right wing nut jobs have been repeating Don the Con’s witch hunt line since Don the Con copied the phrase from Nixon.

I rea that Gallop no longer does a daily Presidential poll. I think I remember that Rasmussen was the most accurate in who would win the last election...Trump vs Hillary.

My personal take on this poll, is that people are tiring of the many spin offs and almost a daily barrage about this , so called, Russian investigation. I also think that how the directive to Mueller was written gave him a large number of avenues he could pursue...and that was a mistake. However, as a prosecutor he may be obligated to contact another agency about anything he finds that could be illegal. It's a mixed up mess, for the public to follow.

Gallup doesn't do a daily anymore but they have been doing a weekly since Jan 1.

TMK, Mueller was not part of any raid, did not lead any of the search parties, & so on. & raid is a loaded term - assuming that protocol was followed, Mueller became aware of a potential legal issue, & referred up his chain of command @ DOJ. DOJ evaluated the referral & decided to act on it.

invasion is also a loaded term - as far as I know, DOJ had a search warrant, which means that a judge accepted the reasons to execute a search, & authorized the hunt for specified items. (See https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...hen/500635002/ for information.)

So - either the quote above was too compressed, & left out important detail - or someone is trying to con us. Either way, this statement is severely compromised - & would be thrown out of any competent court - which is where this entire mess (the seizure of Cohen's files) is going to end. I trust that Cohen's actual representation is more competent than this one is.
Thanks from Camelot
