Whoa! Hold on Miss Clara, your touting that 1 and 1/2 years into Trump's presidency, that Obama is responsible? Let's back up to 2010, when Bush was responsible for Obama's problems and successes. Depending on which side one stood.
Perception is key. And the truth will never be unlocked by perception.

Whoa yourself, Ms. Kate! NOPE. I touted nothing of the sort. Let me make my point once again because obviously, I missed the mark the first time:
Obama started the recovery of the economy....the economy that Bush handed off to him. Trump saw the resolution of the recovery that was started by Obama and handed off to him.
Better??

But, why should reality spoil one's fully partisan narrative?

I SAW THIS FIRST HAND !!!! I bought a house in 2002. Just divorced and carrying an uncomfortable amount of debt thanks to the ex wives. I KNEW what I could afford. Wasn't my first rodeo ya know. So I when I found a house I started the process of getting a mortgage. My mortgage broker must have asked me at least a dozen times or more if this was "all the house" I wanted. HE INSISTED that I could easily qualify for a house THREE TIMES more expensive that what I was applying for. I finally had to tell him DO NOT mention it again or I'll go find another mortgage broker.

Now the house was a little HUD repo and needed work. I had a choice. I could make a larger down payment, but that would leave me little to make repairs with. Or I could take an ARM and put down a very small amount. So I took the ARM. The rate was locked for the first two years. By the time the two years was up I had made substantial repairs AND interest rates had fallen almost TWO FULL POINTS. Naturally I expected my rate to drop or at least stay the same. Imagine my surprise when I open the notice and found that they were JACKING MY RATES TWO FULL POINTS !!!

THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH CRA !!!! I'm a fat bald WHITE GUY !! This was PURE GREED on the part of the lenders. Naturally I did a quick refi, replaced some of the cash I had spent on repairs and converted to a fix 30 year. My payment actually went down. Of course I didn't let them talk me into a much larger house. I didn't take their offers of 125% loans !!!! So I had little trouble refinancing.

Imagine tho being a first time home buyer. Having to DEPEND on your realtors and loan officers to guide you through the process. Imagine if I had bought that THREE TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE HOUSE ?? I would have already been hard pressed to make the payments. Then Imagine a loan that size getting a two or even three percent interest rate hike. WE'RE TALKING a bump in mortgage payments of several hundred dollars.

This is exactly what happened to MILLION of home owners.

Democrats pushing mortgages to those who could not afford them are just as much to blame as those who flooded the economy with cheap cash.

Builders, electricians and welders are not that useful without the architects and designers that go to college. Not to mention teachers, scientists etc.

And of course he can't read graphs either and couldn't find where on that graph Obama's term started if it would guarantee his invite to the fictitious mansion in the sky.

You're wrong. In many cases the blue collar has to correct the white collar. Some people are just smarter than others, and they don't need a piece of paper to prove it. Plus, they aren't afraid of hard work.

Unless they are, for all sorts of reasons, such as those that also affect University students. The whole thing is artificial in many ways, but, on the whole, people who have learned to do things will do them better. I have a relative who is brilliant at interviews, and very smart, I can assure you - but she happens to be a bloody awful teacher, and that's what they pay her for. It is the same for most careers.

No. It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with your kind not supporting and defending the "rule of law" and the defined and limited powers enumerated in our Constitution. Nor do you embrace the most fundamental rule of constitutional construction which is adhering to the text of our Constitution and its documented "legislative intent", which gives context to its text.

JWK

"The Constitution is the act of the people, speaking in their original character, and defining the permanent conditions of the social alliance; and there can be no doubt on the point with us, that every act of the legislative power contrary to the true intent and meaning of the Constitution, is absolutely null and void. ___ Chancellor James Kent, in his Commentaries on American Law [1858]
