Well, There Goes The Peace Prize

Israeli forces opened fire on demonstrators in Gaza on Monday, killing dozens and injuring more than 2,400 people protesting the Monday opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

As bodies fell on the border on what became the bloodiest day in Gaza since the 2014 war, US and Israeli officials celebrated the opening of the embassy.

Here's an interesting tidbit about the speeches at the new embassy opening. My emphasis:

Quote:
Most speakers at the embassy ceremony in Jerusalem this morning chose to ignore the events in Gaza, but Prime Minister Netanyahu praised the “brave soldiers protecting the borders of Israel.” Jared Kushner said "those provoking violence are part of the problem and not part of the solution,” though those remarks were omitted from an official White House transcript.
Hmmmm.

This is from the Axios World Newsletter.

My favorite part of the speeches was Ivanka (our glorious representative) who introduced via satellite her father the President of the United States ON America.

Those would be the victims of the holocaust being perpetrated by Israel.

And now a self centered entitled coward has given them no hope.

When you put people in a position of having no hope, they are justified in any actions they take.

Please strip Alan Guth of his Nobel Prize in Physics and take his Nobel Laurite parking space at MIT. "Anyone who does not believe in the Big Bang Theory is a crackpot." Alan Guth

Good news, Pluto might be made a planet again. Pluto has atmosphere, moons and geologic activity. The IAU dominated by Europeans striped Pluto of planet status in 2006 which outraged me. Americans were so disgusted that very few showed up to vote. Clyde Tombaugh who discovered Pluto at Yerkes Telescope in Flagstaff, Arizona said on his death bed, "Pluto is a Planet!"
