people stopped going to NFL games. NFl took a huge monetary hit and they deserve to do so. Really, why bother to attend, at high expense, lots of hassle, when you see the game better on TV, for free? To hell with those people. I"ve always thought that team sports were silly, and footballs' almost as bad as baseball, (where almost nothing ever happens on the field).

Old joke about the Soviet Union.

A man comes home from work, grabs a beer and sits down to watch a little TV before dinner. Turns on the TV and there is Khrushchev making a speech. So he turns the channel and again there is Khrushchev making his speech. So he turns the channel again, and once again there is Khrushchev making his speech. So he turn the channel once more and finds it is not Khrushchev making his speech, but the head of the KGB pointing his finger at the camera and saying "you better change the channel back and listen to your leader's speech".

The very idea of FORCING people into patriotic (or religious) observation should be completely antithetical to everything this country has ever stood for. While it may not violate the law of the First Amendment, it is certainly a violation of the spirit and intent of the Amendment. Ironic, those who think this is a good thing are some of the very same people that constantly argue about the intent of the founding fathers.

It really is 1984 !!

Does your company require you to stand for the national anthem every day? If it does, then you have an argument. And no, the amount of money these guys make should have nothing to do with it.

NO ONE should be forced to stand for the national anthem as a condition of employment. That goes against everything this country stands for.
