Dinesh D'Souza received a pardon that he certainly deserved:

So...pardoning admitted and convicted criminals is a good thing in your book?

The difference in time between the time stamp for when I created this thread and when you posted this is 3 minutes. The length of the video clip is about twice that long, which means that there's no way you could've listened to the entire thing between the time I posted it and the time you replied & if you would've listened to it you'd understand why his situation would be an exception for this one admitted and convicted criminal.
Thanks from caconservative, Sabcat and Jimgorn

In an exchange on twitter today, it was speculated that another reason that the Republican President is issuing pardons willy-nilly other than letting the guys with the goods on him know that if they perjor themselves or commit other crimes covering for him, he will give them a pass is as follows.

He went in assuming that he would be defacto dictator. Lo and behold there are things like Congress to make that hard. Even his EOs are subject to court approvals.

But he has total power over who and what he can pardon. Real unimpeded power there. And unlike all his predecessors, he thus far has never run it past the DOJ or other jurists. Previous presidents have chosen from lists supplied by the DOJ and other agencies.
Thanks from tristanrobin and leekohler2

He plead guilty in court. He gave $10,000 a piece to two friends who made political contributions on his behalf. He knew he was breaking campaign finance laws when he did so. Does the right wing’s “we don’t need new laws, we just need to enforce the laws we have” only apply to guns ? Just another in a line of right wing hypocrisies.
Thanks from tristanrobin

Have you seen the new HBO version of Fahrenheit 451?

It's just like the Trumpeteers. The people who have swallowed their Dear Leader's line, hook and sinker.

Did he commit the crime or not?

Goddamn right he did. It was either pardon him or send the dogs after Rosie. This seemed like the better of the two moves IMO
Thanks from Neil

Bradley Manning has pleaded guilty to having been the source of the massive WikiLeaks dump of US state secrets, though he has denied the most serious charge against him that he "aided the enemy" that could see him languishing in military prison for the rest of his life.

So....the only way any of us could know or understand the whole D'Souza case/circumstances is your video??????? Because none of us follow media headlines?? GAWD. YOU PEOPLE!!

D'Souza intentionally broke the law, voluntarily pled guilty, apologized for his conduct & the judge found no unfairness. The career prosecutors and agents did their job. Period.
Thanks from imaginethat and Camelot
