Another hit for the Republican President

A judge has ruled that he can be deposed in a state lawsuit. His lawyers are now taking this to the state SC and say if not successful they want to go to the SCOTUS. Interesting.

Judge rules Trump must sit for deposition in Summer Zervos case

President Trump must be deposed in a defamation lawsuit brought last year by a former contestant on "The Apprentice," a judge in Manhattan ruled Tuesday.

In a court order, Judge Jennifer Schechter set a Jan. 31, 2010 deadline for both parties to be deposed in the lawsuit, the New York Post reported. The parties also now face a July 13 deadline to issue requests for documents in the case.

The lawsuit brought by Summer Zervos, a former contestant on "The Apprentice," alleges that Trump defamed her by publicly declaring she had fabricated claims that Trump groped and kissed her without her consent in 2007.

According to the Post, the lawsuit is set to go to trial sometime after June 7, 2019.

Despite Schechter's order that Trump must sit for a deposition, there's still a chance he could avoid that. His lawyers have appealed the case to the New York Court of Appeals, and are still awaiting a response.

You really are dumb as the proverbial box of rocks NOWHERE in the article does it say CRIMINAL case. It's obviously a civil case.

Trump can go to scotus but he'll likely lose. Clinton was a sitting president and he was deposed.
Thanks from RNG and Camelot
