It is such an obvious lie. We've gone over this and over this--again and again--and SOMEONE stupid will still repeat the line and beat it with a stick.

The North American Continent has borders--enforced, surveilled, patroled, gated, fenced, walled, droned, sailed, motored and flown over. 24/7. Land, air and sea are covered. Thousands of agents patrol our borders to the north and south. Canada does the same.

So can we finally put this "open borders" LIE TO BED???
It's another right wing talking point.

Of course without talking points, they wouldn't have anything to say.

Cool, lets send all the economic refugees back to where they came from and start being very, very selective about who we let in for any extended period of time.

Oh sure--you betcha. Let's do that...oh wait....didn't we already start that process??

Why YES! Let's see. Just this year we've kicked Salvadorans, Vietnamese, Iranians, Mexicans, and others to the curb-- from a list of about 186 targeted countries.
But it gets better. In 2017, Haitians, and more Hondurans. Isn't that great news?

But there's more and you'll really love this part. At this very moment there are thousands of people being held at the border--actually at a processing center in McAllen, Texas--a lovely little town with museums and botanical gardens. You'd like it. ANYHOO.....Those people have applied for asylum.

Here's the really cool part about the folks in McAllen. Their children were taken from them and put in cages. So creative. YEP--“dog kennel-style cages, little people crowded in with nothing but a space blanket.” But now don't you worry that handsome little head of yours, becuzzzzzz
it was only 1500 children.

So...there ya go. YOU just make a wish and it is granted. Lucky you--being so selective ROCKS!!

Explain why this group who applied for asylum, that came from central America, did not apply for asylum in Mexico?
Thanks from Citizen Kane

Canada does utilize various resources to get the story out that there is no such thing as open borders so tries to eliminate or at least reduce the numbers of people that uproot their lives and enter the country illegally only to be sent back.
Conservatives are masters of "Doublethink" and hypocrisy.

You mean "dog cages" like that picture that was circulating around social media around memorial day? Those "dog cages"?

Sure I can. They knew Mexico would not offer them welfare off the backs of working people. Its really about a better life, on someone else dime, and little if anything to do with persecution.

Cant figure that out?
