And this is why I am really not onside with you liberals on much more than I am with conservatives!

I couldn't give a flying fuck if Donald Trump wins a Nobel Prize....hell Obama and Henry Kissinger have already contaminated the Prize for undeserved reasons! And besides that, most winners in recent years have been those judged as important humanitarians (like Malala Yusefzai...I don't know how to spell her last name!) or the biggest pile of crap- a few years ago when they awarded it to the European Union...just for existing...or being there...talk about self-serving crap!

So, if Trump ends the nuclear standoff and thousands of armed forces facing each other on a DMZ it's fine with me, and okay also if he unfreezes the Cold War with Russia and ends the ramp up in nuclear weapons programs and likelihood of lighting the match that starts the war to end all wars!
Yes, agreed on the last point.

I read that Chinese and Russians are buying up land bordering North Korea.

I'm perfectly fine with Trump's gaining a strategic win for himself, and everyone else. I'm unconvinced he can do it. I think Kimmy has had at least a couple of bad dreams about being Colonel Khaddfi....

I can't remember where I read it, maybe on the forum, but the argument is being made that the cat's out of the bag and isn't going back into it. I think that analysis appears drop dead right on right now.

Apparently, Russia and China have NK's back.

Yep, the bottom line is this- NK is not giving up their nukes. Little Kim is not going to risk invasion.

If history is any indicator, he'd be a fool to do so.

Ukraine relinquished its arsenal for a promise of security that didn't hold up. Russia seized and annexed Crimea in 2014 and has supported Ukrainian separatists in the eastern part of the country, near the border with Russia.

"Ukraine has not felt as though that bargain has been respected by Russia," Kimball said.

There's also the cautionary tale of a pair of dictators Iraq's Saddam Hussein and Libya's Moammar Gadhafi who gave up their nuclear programs before acquiring a bomb. As Cirincione notes, that didn't save them.

"This is exactly, unfortunately, the lesson that Kim Jong Un has learned that if you give up your weapons, America will kill you," Cirincione said.

Saddam was executed by Iraq after the U.S. invaded in 2003, toppling his regime and seizing him. Gadhafi was killed by rebels in 2011, after U.S. air strikes helped the opposition forces oust him. Observers say North Korea's Kim wants a nuclear arsenal so badly because he believes it'll protect him from suffering the same fate.

Bush Bent over and Spread his Cheeks and said HOLSER IT

Clinton bent over and said Holser it, I will put ice on it.

The only POTUS that has stood tough is Trump,,

It doesn't matter. The person holding the cards is Little Kim. As long as he has nukes, nothing can happen to him. He's not going to walk away from that. History has shown that is a foolish thing to do. That has not worked out well for the countries that did.

What do you think we're going to do? Nuke them if they refuse to give up their nukes? Because trust me, the areas surrounding NK would have a major problem with that.

And do me a favor and stop it with the homophobic references.
Thanks from Clara007

1. According to https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry...b0bbb7a0dd66d4

(Begin excerpts)
Perhaps no other photo is in more need of a thorough caption than the one released Saturday by the office of German Chancellor Angela Merkel from the Group of Seven’s annual meeting in Quebec.

Tense and confrontational, it appears to sum up President Donald Trump’s entire trip, which highlighted divisions among the global powers.

The image dramatically depicts the German leader in an assertive pose, planting both hands firmly on a crisp tablecloth as she addresses President Donald Trump, who is seated before her with his arms crossed wearing a dispassionate expression. (End excerpts)

2. My caption for the photo is "Hell hath no fury like a powerful woman blowing her top". Netizens are welcome to contribute their humorous or interesting captions.

Perhaps Trump should adopt Angela Merkel's pose to ensure success in his "one shot at peace" with Kim in the upcoming summit on June 12.

Plus he sees how the Republican President reneged on the Iran agreement.

Not the type of guy to engender trust.

Lil Kimmy doesn't want to be another one of the thousands that he has stiffed.

The tinpot but nuclear-armed Kim who fed his uncle to starving dogs has already won. He got the US president to treat him as a legitimate member of the world community, albeit one whose favorite form of execution is by anti-aircraft gun.

Trump stood tough, and this is the result so far. And, never again will North Korea be isolated, never again subject to "maximum pressure."

If you'd spread your cheeks a bit, that might help you to extract your head from where the sun doesn't shine ... where it is parked now.

Apparently, previous presidents are smarter than Trump.
