Huh? Are you kidding? Show me any benefit plan that even comes CLOSE to matching SS for the money put in. And that's while being completely independent of the stock market. If the stupid Republican Party had their way people's SS would've crapped the pants every time there was a market downturn.

SS is about 10 times more efficient than 401K. Why do you think the corporations were so keen to implement 401ks? It wasn't because they were making lives BETTER for the workers.

Well, I was going to type "flapping your yap" but then realized that that doesn't really apply on an internet forum. So ...

Enjoy the read

Now imagine if you could put all those social security taxes into a 401k instead. Hell, lets put it in a Roth non-tax deferred 401k instead. Would I take that over SS retirement? Hell yes I would.
Thanks from Sabcat

Yes, think of the money the non working investor class could skim! A wonderful thought. Thanks!

They were the first to campaign year round if there was an election or not. They went into rural communities and rented a place for dancing and lecturing. The dancing was to attract people and pay for the building and the lecturer, and the real purpose was to find out what made people the most angry and then to announce it is the purpose of the party to resolve the problem. Then when an election came up, they were the first to send letters to everyone to encourage them to vote.

They focused on people's fears and anger exactly as Trump is doing, and like Trump, they told every community what a great community they had. Do you see the strategy now? Use people's fears and anger to rally them into action, and flatter them to make them feel good and therefore willing to support the party/candidate. The only required action is to depend on the Nazi party and vote for it. The great leader will take care of everything else.

NO! I didn't miss the point. I was being facetious and I stand by my statement. Prez ADHD doesn't DO strategy. There's a big difference between strategy and approach.
Playing on peoples fears and anger is NOT a strategy. It's an approach--a feeding frenzy--a style--a pounding, repetitive pattern.
Strategy requires reflection, caution, progression and deliberation. Trump has none of those qualities....and he doesn't listen to his advisors so there's no way he uses strategic skills.
Trump brags about "going with his gut" which makes SOME OF us nauseous.

OOPS 25% gain is a bull market.
