Absolutely, when they are called for. That did not call for a "link".

No, the article pretty much speaks for itself. Just another loud-mouth Mexican politician making promises we've heard before, and never kept.

Screw him, when he respects our country we will talk, and that means doing something to help your own people, and not making the American tax payer your subsidizing force.

Oh, just like a loud-mouth Republican President making promises we've heard before, and never kept?

A loud mouth? What has he promised that he had not tried to keep? If it wasn't for Democratic opposition to everything Trump we'd be further along.

Control of both houses and the deplorables still whine.

Is Mexico paying for the wall?

Do you have a better, cheaper healthcare system?

The only things he has done is ruined the country's fiscal future with stupid tax gifts to the rich and destroying international trade - and making the Supreme Court a joke.

And you keep cheering.

LOL What Mexico wants is a never ending flow of Latin Americans into America to make America a giant mess like much of Latin AMerica is, and has been since they got free of the European powers.

As noted in other threads here, Mexico accepts financial support, training, equipment from the US to help in their efforts to control their southern border.

"Mexico generally is not friendly to immigrants from Central America. That's their policy. However, US foreign aid to Mexico is conditioned upon them strengthening their border security - see https://www.reference.com/government...238a7e5dd87a09

"Quick Answer
"In 2018, the U.S. government will give Mexico $87,660,000 in foreign aid. The largest segment, 56 percent, will go toward peace and security. The second largest segment will go toward democracy, human rights and governance.

"Peace and Security Aid
"The United States will give Mexico $48.66 million dollars to be used directly for peace and security within the country, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. The goal of this foreign assistance is to weaken transnational criminal organizations, reform legal institutions and create a modernized border greater for greater prosperity and security for both countries.

"Drug Prevention
"Eighty-six percent of this budget, or $42 million, has been earmarked for counter-narcotics. These funds will be used to combat the manufacturing and trafficking of narcotics and to reduce the cultivation and production of drugs. This money will also be used to create demand-reduction projects and limit the widespread effect of the drug trade across international borders."

(My emphasis - more @ the URL)

The information is out there, & not hard to find. & so Mexico is constrained on their immigration policy - they may agree or not on US demands on immigration & drug control, but if they want to continue to receive funding from the US, they'll have to decide to go along with us.

Funding for Wall blocked by who? Government health care should be made private. And that is, or at least should be the objective. Destroyed fiscal future? International trade deficit should have been taken on decades ago. IMO, Trump wants one on one trade negotiations. His actions are designed to bring them to the negotiation table.
