And you keep cheering.
We'll see how he shakes out. If it goes how I think it just might, the Mexicans will build a wall to keep their people,(well, those with brains and money) in. I've got a phone conversation coming up with 3 former co-workers who immigrated to the US legally and now hold dual citizenship. Yup, they vote in both countries. Their families are land owners in both countries who regularly travel between both countries. They work in the IT tech sector here and are farmers in Mexico. It'll be fun to get their take. Of course if the whole thing goes sideways there the libs will get their wish because then there will be a valid reason for Mexicans to look for asylum.

Democratic opposition???? Well, THAT'S an interesting spin. Does the Democratic Party have some sort of power I'm unaware of??

Yes but you do not understand RNG, then Canada would not be able to take advantage of the current rules, Canada is going the way of Venezuela, and England. Socialism and Islam

Didn't ya know Clara?

Even when the Rs control Congress and the presidency, the Ds still are in control, unless something good happens. Then the Rs are in power.

He doesn't actually take office until Dec. 1st, so don't expect him to say much about Trump or US policy etc. in the meantime.

No doubt the clowns like former President Pena-Nieto and their oligarch-funded progeny were going to lose eventually in Mexico! They had to rig at least one national election to maintain power in 2012, and a lot of Mexicans were afraid the same thing would happen yesterday and didn't want to start the celebrations too early. But I guess the margin of approval by Am-Lo was just too insurmountable for vote-buying and vote-stuffing at the local ballot boxes this time!

And, after all the kow-towing to past US administrations over NAFTA and the 30 year long economic malaise NAFTA has caused most Mexicans(over 50% living in poverty today) all that was needed was an idiot like Trump, on the other side of the border...showing contempt for their country and their leaders to finally get a government that will work in the interests of the people for a change!

And it should also be noted, that the victory is not just at the top of the ticket, but all the way down through the federal legislatures to governors, mayors and local legislative councils. Mexico's house-clearing yesterday is like an enema that just cleared out all the rot, garbage and corruption running the country. Now, they have to take this opportunity and build something better!

Pardon me all to pieces...I don't know WHAT gets into me!
AND let me remind you that Rs control not only congress and the presidency, but also the Supreme Court and 33 governorships.

What am I missing? These guys are absolutely pitiful and why?? For the first time in YEARS *YEARS* the GOP's GOT IT all. All the power. All the legislation. All the votes. ALL the cabinet positions. ALL the dirty old white men it can stand! They've got porn stars galore! They've got Korea, China and Russia in their back pockets (heh heh). They've got EMPLOYMENT UP the KiKi River. They've got FAIR TRADE. They've got Evangelicals and men appointed/annointed by GAWD. They've got bonuses and GUNS--don't forget the GUNS--lots and lots of GUNS and what do we hear???????? Obstruction from the Left. As if.

LMAO!! It's the Democrats--the completely powerless Democrats-- who poke fun at beloved Chief Who Speaks with Forked Tongue and make them sad. NOT FAIR. TDS. Muh...HILLY. Muh...Russia. BENGHAZZIIIII!!

Waaaaa--Obama said 57 states and YOU CAN keep your doctor!

Yeah, right. Those were the days, my friend. Rant over.

AHA! Cloture--it's spelled "CLOTURE". Filibuster. 60 votes...and 51 Republican senators and 49 Democrats....with mid-terms coming up.

Who is the Senate Majority Leader? Is McConnell a Republican??

Here's an idea. How about Mitch insist the Senate work a full week, including weekends. If the Democrats want 30 hours of debate for district court judges and sub-cabinet nominees, then make the time for it.
Maybe--just MAYBE-- Senators should work more than three days a week.
Thanks from Camelot

Why does everyone insist that their elected representatives be in Washington all the time away from the districts and states they represent? If you ask me, the less time they are in Washington, the more time they are in their states and districts, the more they can understand what it is they are supposed to represent.
