Because cons are the only ones who should be able to have a say. Donchu know?

They ARE getting their say now. You want to try and get an alternate "say" then. The people wouldn't actually get an alternate say at all.
What you want and are desperate to get is an opportunity to apply even more obstruction to any candidate Trump nominates. Giving you that is criminal at least and treason at best. This may all be moot anyhow, the tea leaves are lining up for a big Liberal loss. We'll see won't we?

They had their say when they elected Obama but McConnell wanted the people “to have a say” with the November election.

Why don’t the people get “a say” with this election?

They are!! Tell me how upset and lathered you'd be if Hills were making the choice. Your transparent and disingenuous position is too unbelievable. From your point of view the people really don't have say, what you want is the radical leftist to be able to obstruct from a position of power. That's your whole game and has been for years now. The kami kazi nature of the Dems is going to create a court that will hold center right for a generation or two. Liberals have become comfy being able to do thru thecourts what they can't thru the legislature. That is more apparent with the way the courts have acted in blocking much of what Prez Trump is trying to do. The country is tired of this and it looks like the Libs are going to have to get used to getting their agenda done the old fashioned way thru legislation. It's a game changer and you'd best concentrate on that rather than theatrics. Do you remember how?

Just like Trump World, it's appears up is down and down is up. Do we also just make up facts?

This isn’t about who makes the choice, this is about the outright, over the top, blatant hypocrisy of the GOP on this issue. In February 2016, a full nine months before the election, Obama had a vacant Supreme Court position to fill and Mitch McConnell refused to even consider a replacement until after the November election saying “the people should have a say”.

Flash forward to July 2017 and Trump has a vacancy to fill four months before the November election and now McConnell can’t get the vacancy filled fast enough. Screw the people and “their say” this November.
Thanks from Camelot

You are assuming there is only a left or right solution.....I have also slowly become fed up with the establishment Republican ways (McConnell among them) That is why I decided maybe it is time for a non-politician to have a shot at cleaning up the shit-hole in D.C....and he is doing s good job of rattling the trouble makers up...

Who made the remark "Elections have consequences"..??? That would have been the Oh-So-Arrogant Barrack Hussein Obama.. And it came back to bitch-slap him....McConnell had every right in the world to deny a confirmation hearing to a nominee presented by a two-term lame-duck President..McConnell gave Obama his advice "Don't even bother"..If the Democrats held the Senate and it was a two-term Republican POTUS, you can bet your sweet ass the Democrat Senate Leader would have done the same thing....

At present, we are talking a mid-term election....the President (who has the sole privilege of picking the SC nominee) is not up for re-election....So false....no cigar....you are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole..

Why is it irrelevant? Trump is not up for reelection. The whole point of not allowing Obimbo to make a choice was because he was a lame-duck president in his last year. It's not up to the American people, it's up to the Senate.

WHY EXACTLY is it relevant that Obama was in his last year of office. Please explain.
