The Dems aren't even willing to stand firm on the abortion issue/unlike Republicans who feel sacrificing pregnant women is just part of the cost! The DNC has favored many "pro life" Dems like that dink who served as Hillary's running mate in case you forgot him, over the pro choice Democrats. If you think of an issue they are actually lining up together on, let me know!
The issue of abortion is very unlikely to come up within the Court any time soon. Which makes it a moot issue. Star Decisis, is generally observed by the Court. The Demorats know this but, are counting on Liberals not knowing.

God they whine when they get a taste of their own medicine.

It's kind of funny.

They sure do. Then they always say, "but it's not the same thing!" Like hell it isn't.

The Democrats should block the Republicans’ choice of voting a new Supreme Court Justice stalwart to replace old Justice Anthony Kennedy. This prime time event happened weeks after Kennedy announced his retirement over the summer.

Again, the left wing must get some votes to block this confirmation.

There are at least six senators who can make or break the Kavanaugh appointment.
Susan Collins
Lisa Murkowski
Joe Donnelly (D) Ask me later.
Heidi Heitkamp (D) Another D.
Joe Manchin (D) Yep--another one.
Doug Jones (D) Remember him??

Remember the confirmation vote will be close because Republicans hold a narrow 51-to-49 margin in the Senate and a reminder that McCain will probably not vote which makes the margin 50-49.
The senators listed above are considered swing votes. If Murkowski and Collins swing....Kavanaugh will be blocked. If Jones, Manchin and Heitkamp swing Kavanaugh will be approved.
This will be a nail biter. I don't know Kavanaugh yet, but I actually "feel" for him.

Others who may potentially be swing votes: Paul, Gardner, Heller, Capito. Will these folks vote party or country?

This was finally confirmed:

White House doesn’t deny report Trump made secret deal with Kennedy over retirement, replacement
It's not supposed to work like this.

During an CNN interview on Tuesday morning, White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah did not deny an NBC report that outgoing Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy “received assurances” from President Trump that if he retired, Judge Brett Kavanaugh — one of Kennedy’s former clerks — would be nominated to be his replacement.

Asked repeatedly if some sort of deal between Trump and Kennedy was struck before Kennedy announced his retirement, Shah dodged, saying things like “I’m not going to read out private conversations that Justice Kennedy had with either members of the White House or the president,” and, “Justice Kennedy can speak for himself.” But what Shah didn’t do is deny the NBC report.

If NBC’s report is accurate, it means Kennedy would effectively have been given control over a SCOTUS seat for 60 years — the 30 years he served, and the 30 or so the 53-year-old Kavanaugh will likely serve on the court if confirmed.

At another point during the CNN interview, Shah was asked if Trump was familiar with an article Kavanaugh’s wrote that could become relevant to SCOTUS as special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of the Trump campaign unfolds — a 2009 law review article in which Kavanaugh argued that sitting presidents are above the law.

There's more--much more. So much for the FAKE NEWS theme song from the RW.

No need for libs to spin this because Fox Nation beat us to the punch. Foxy Andrew Napolitano says..."I’m disappointed in the president because this is not the type of person that he said he would pick." (Side bar: I don't think Trump did the picking. I think Kennedy did the picking...but that's just me.)

Nappy went on to say: "This person is at the heart and soul of the D.C. establishment against whom the president railed," he added. "Now, look, that’s just my criticism. He is pro-life. He is pro-gun. He is pro-police, which rankles civil libertarians. He is also pro-ObamaCare."
"He is also, 'Well, an infant might have the right to abortion. An infant immigrant might have the right to abortion.' He is, 'We can impeach the president if he lies to the public.' He is, 'The president can do no wrong.' These are not my words. These are words he said throughout his career. One of the takes on him is he can be reckless with his words," Napolitano concluded.

UH OH. Prez DealMaker watches Fox, Andy. Don't make him mad. You won't like him when he's mad.
