Going from $459 billion to $486 billion isn't a 50% cut, it is an increase.

Democrats aren't very good with math, or reality.

Really? so on January 21st, 2009, the tax rates, the spending for the last 8 months of fiscal 2009 were all up in the air, nothing was settled, nothing was signed.
Obama had free rein to do what ever he wanted......

You are getting jimmy stupid now.....

When was the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám translated into English?

Have you used the contacts I gave you to contact the Yale, Harvard, and Princeton fake economists to alert them they work for right-wing think tanks?

No, the Debt is not a figment of anything.

It is a cold hard fact.

So if 4 Trillion is unpatriotic.

What is 9 Trillion?

Remember Obama set the benchmark.

For the same reason the Republicans can't just "end" Obamacare.

Obama is the President, not a dictator.

In order for the Medicare Drug Program to be ended Congress would first have to pass a bill.

If the Dept of Education is so bad why haven't the Republicans ended it?
If the Dept of Energy is so bad why haven't the Republicans ended it?
If the National Endowment for the Arts is so bad why haven't the Republicans ended it?

These are all programs the Republicans were rallying against when G.W. Bush was running for President.

He got elected and the Republicans had a majority in both houses of Congress for a time.....why didn't they end those programs? (And those are just a few of the programs and/or departments the Republicans continually cry about).

Being the apologist for the GOP that you are I'm quite sure you are going to somehow blame the Democrats for the Republicans inability to get rid of them.
Thanks from RNG

You have gotten closer to the correct response than anyone I have read so far.. but

1 Obama got eleced there Democrat FILIBUSTER PROOF majority in the Congress

2. Bush Took office during the front end of a recession as well.

3. Bush also after May 2001 had a DEMOCRAT senate to oppose him

so, Actually Obama's path was of less resistance than Bush's..

Still no one has figured it out.. Think people think... My goodness, this is one reason our Republic is going down this path to failure. No one understands how it is suppose to work.

You are correct. Obama and the Democrats in Congress changed the tax rates after Obama took office which increased the deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars. Obama and Congressional Democrats also increased spending by hundreds of billions of dollars shortly after Obama was sworn in. Obama signed those changes in tax rates and spending into law on February 17th, 2009.
