Pot May Be an Exit Drug

Research from the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia strongly suggests that rather than being the gateway drug to hard stuff, pot may in fact be very valuable in the transition away from both hard drugs and alcohol. This is breaking news, just announced so there are many sources. Here's just one.

Marijuana not a gateway drug, says UVic study - British Columbia - CBC News

Any pot head knows that. Pot heads only use stronger drugs when they cannot find pot. Insane pot laws are the gateway to stronger drugs.

What wonderful news. Hopefully this can get more traction. There is no reason marijuana should be illegal.

Some enter while others exit. IMHO all drugs should be allowed but no one on drugs should be allowed to receive Federal or State aid, unless the drug use is for a legit medical reason.

There is not nearly enough longterm research on Marijuana to come to any conclusions. Pretty much every single marijuana study is bias so it is difficult to say if any are real. Some say there are no adverse side affects, some say that there are a few, and some say there are a lot. However I think that just legalizing it can have serious consequences. States with legal cannabis have much higher usage rates among teens which I think everyone can agree is bad. I have no doubt that this is just another tobacco fad where people think it is actually healthy but in reality is very harmful (Which I wouldn't be surprised about considering the amount of carcinogens released when smoking.) I can, however, guarantee that Marijuana IS NOT an exit drug. Any honest college or high school student would say the same thing.

Oh, I miss a good happy hour place. There are no great places here for that kind of fun. But, it wouldn't matter at all if we could just blaze a couple...
