Instead of meth or cocaine, caffeine?

Hello,

Started a job in an office last week. Notice they had a fancy coffee maker machine there. Not much on coffee. Do not dislike it perse, but my family (parents, only child) did not own a coffee pot nor make traditional coffee. As a matter of fact, I did not know how to use an average coffee maker found anywhere until I was in my 20's working in another office. Yes, my boss thought I was a dumbass.

Passed by the machine and thought the coffee smelled wonderful, so I had someone teach me how to make it. Drank a cup and decided on one more. After the second cup, I was WIRED. Talking fast, out of myself, wow. Wasn't that fun. I am fairly ignorant about coffee, but I know enough to ask if it was espresso coffee and it was. Won't drink that crap again!

Actually it felt a lot like a bump of cocaine or meth. I have done those drugs (haven't in 15 plus years but still know the buzz). Makes me wonder, for the speed freaks, why not just enrich the caffeine, and make it snortable or smokable? Pretty much the same junk to me.

Like I said, I rarely drink coffee, but will on occasion buy a small bottle of coca-cola in the morning if I am dragging tail. Many people who are coffee people cannot make it in the morning without it. So why don't the junkies just use caffeine which is legal versus cocaine or meth which isn't?

Some people sit around drinking beer and discuss current topics. Some people sit around drinking coffee discussing current topics. Not imbibing with them makes you an outsider and out of the loop at the company coffee table. Bring up the Topic of imported high priced Jamaica drip grind coffee with a Toucan on the label. Then the other coffee drinkers will tell you the proper way to roast your own beans in a heating element pop corn popper and grind yourself. They are coffee gourmet's with a sensitive palate and high society taste.

edit: back to OP. Ask someone to show you how to use the coffee maker and where the packets of commercial drip-grind coffee are located, usually Maxwell House. It is written somewhere that the last person who takes the last cup of coffee cup out of the coffee pot is expected to make a new pot. Remember to clean out the pot before making a new one and clean up the mess you made.

Caffeine to a speed freak is like Tylenol to a heroin addict.Fkn useless.
