Alcohol and tobacco, they say they are drugs.
They are different drugs, no one steals, no one kills.
Other drugs steal and kill
ONLY because they are illegal !!! Take a look at the violence and crime that came when we outlawed alcohol for a few years, then compare it to what we see going on today.

It's time to legalize all drugs. Then let the losers who can't handle reality, those whose real lives suck so bad, smoke, snort, shoot up, ingest, or whatever the drug of their choice. We still have the urine test that can be used to keep employers safe.

Hmmm, your ONLY expressed concern is "keeping EMPLOYERS safe."
Interesting.

There has been a bill introduced in the Senate by Cory Gardener (R) Colorado and Elizabeth Warren (D) Massachusetts, that would make marijuana legal in states that have legalized it.

The main advantage would be to allow retailers to use the banking system.
Currently, marijuana is an all cash business, meaning retailers and growers have large amounts of cash on hand during the normal course of business.

Which can be problematic.

?

That doesn't make any sense.

Federal law is federal law. It applies to all states equally. You cant just have slavery legal in Mississippi and slavery illegal in Minnesota.

True enough. Obama set a wonderful precedent, didn't he?

That cash part is not true. It is up to the individual banks whether they want to hand credit or debit transactions for dispensaries. The clearing houses (Visa/MC) and the processing companies have changed their stance since 2014. It is just that most people don't want to have a paper or electronic trail "just in case" and the dispensaries love to cheat on the regulatory taxes with some even lying that they can only accept cash. There is just too much money in it for the electronic money transfer industries to ignore, and the Feds look the other way as long as you pay the IRS.
