So your suggesting that the school administration did its due diligence? Looking into back grounds of all the parties involved w/ the best interest of all the children in mind. Upon doing this they came to the conclusion that the threat that this child presents is so great that armed forces were needed to remove him from the property and incarcerated.

Or maybe they over reacted playing defense to the PC police, social justice warriors and lawsuit happy "it's not my fault" people slithering about society as of late.
Thanks from Jimmyb

It's justifications like that keeps the U.S. Leading the world in prison population. Good job.

As I asked PN, what do you suggest. And I strenuously disagree with those who figure she should have just slugged him. You think he should get a walk?

Actually.....I have no idea.

That's why I refuse to categorically state whether they did the 'right thing' or not.

Assault is assault regardless of age.

He shouldn't get a walk. However, I hope cam is right by suggesting he will get a wrist slap. Just getting arrested should teach him a lesson. You want to think his parents would punish him appropriately.

I hope you are not suggesting that he receive the same punishment as a grown man would get for tongue-kissing a woman by surprise.

I want to. Unfortunately life has taught me to hedge my bets regarding what parents will do.

Recent history suggests that although we both wish his parents do that, odds are they won't.

Beware of assuming that 13-year-old boys have the ability to think before they act, especially when given a dare, or the ability to listen to what their parents say. This kid had one thing in mind, either catering to the challenge of the other boys, or of impressing them. A good kick in the right place would have taught him the immediate and embarrassing consequences of putting his lips on someone else's face. I know, because I have worked with 13-year-old boys for 20+ years, and the last thing most of them want is to be humiliated by a girl in front of their friends. And if he actually HITS a girl, he will be the most unpopular, most disliked boy in school. Even his friends will want to disown him.

I could be wrong, but this kid doesn't sound to me by his behavior to be aggressive. Just wimpy and stupid, and willing to be used by other boys to get a laugh. What would serve him best is a serious deflation to his already faltering ego.

But... we'll see if the police are enough to scare some religion into him. A lot at this point will depend on whether there is an accounting to his parents, or will do their idiot best to interfere and make sure little Johnny is shielded from the consequences of his behavior. If there is no accounting to them, he will probably do it again.
Thanks from catus felis
