Nobody at the age of grades K-12, pays attention to politics.

Most freshmen in college don't either.

Political correctness was never an issue until the end of the Fairness Doctrine, and the advent of conservative AM talk radio.

Political correctness is an equal but opposite response to it.

You can't have a conversation about political correctness, without having a conversation about the bile that emanates from the talk radio barkers.

They go hand in hand.

The new age of social media on the internet, has created a whole new genre, and the Liberal voices on college campuses were the first to take advantage of it.

This caught the corporate media, and right wing messaging machine completely off guard, because of the arrogance they shared in thinking they controlled the political messaging, and marketing of ideas, which is no longer the case, and hasn't been for some years now.

So now what is being witnessed on college campuses is political correctness 2.0.

And as the political right becomes even more divisive, and hateful, you are fast headed towards political correctness 3.0.

Younger people, are exponentially less conservative than the Boomer generation, they are exponentially less religious, they do not like beer swilling rednecks with guns, and they have a zero tolerance policy for racist assholes.

Don't like political correctness?

It will wane right along with right wing hatefullness in equal measure.
Thanks from Camelot and Lyzza

I don't know why? It seems well thought out and gives me something to think about.

Who is talking about regulating anything? If anything, we are basically talking about reintroducing the free flow of alternative challenging ideas in the increasingly regulated, hopelessly one sided educational system in Higher Ed.

You don't trust your children to draw their own conclusions ? Hey, I don't like Bernie blowing smoke up college kids butts by convincing them that he will deliver free college and free healthcare but it's up to the kids to see through his smoke. That's called maturing.
