These are the same snowflakes that whine that white men are being treated sooooo unfairly. There is a reason why these so called tough guys always go on about their guns. Because they are just the opposite of tough guys and they are just pathetically compensating in hopes that no one will notice.

Thanks from Lyzza

My observations on this is that in fact multiple more extreme right wing speakers have had their talks cancelled or their presence has been banned at universities when the students either demonstrated or threatened to demonstrate "strongly".

I can't recall any left wing speaker suffering that.

Ok then, lets look at the left wing speakers who would be there to spread hate speech, promote war, division, etc...........

Might pare down the list a bit......

You disregard the institutional ways that the right does this. You observe the left because their efforts are usually grass roots. The Koch brothers and their affiliated groups donate money to over 100 universities in this country to establish the college of this or the college of that. They get to choose the subject matter and the instructors. These instructors bounce back and forth between the Heritage foundation and other right wing organizations and the colleges. This is a much more pervasive intolerance and indoctrination but much less visible. Grass roots efforts are always more visible.
Thanks from Lyzza

Dont forget about the gender gage rap

‘The Gender Gage Rap Is Real!’

Quote:

When I arrived at Lewis & Clark Law School to give a talk, a security officer asked if I had a gun. She’d heard rumors on social media. I didn’t, but my friend Andy Ngo, a Portland State grad student, was armed with an iPhone.

A letter from several leftist student groups had demanded the Federalist Society disinvite me. It described me as a “known fascist” whose speech would constitute “violence” against victims of “gendered oppression.” I didn’t take the letter too seriously, nor did my hosts. Law-school students are usually older and more sensible than undergrads, and they’re supposedly learning how to argue for a living. Most Lewis & Clark students—progressives and conservatives—are easygoing and committed to free expression. But that didn’t stop the bullying minority from turning up the volume.

As we approached the lecture hall, we saw protesters blocking the entrance, so we walked in through an adjacent door. When I reached the podium, several sign-wielding students dashed to the front of the room. The ringleader, a blond woman in a “Stay Woke” jacket, read chants from her phone: “Microaggressions are real!” “Black lives matter!” “The gender gage rap is real!” I think she meant “wage gap.”

Since I never went to university, I lean to the left!

From a strictly outsider perspective it seems to me that the right blows these issues that hardly affect anyone on campus out of all proportion while the real story should be about how colleges and universities are going back to being what they were originally intended for: places where only the rich can afford to have their privileged children educated.

All the blathering about the trials of political correctness are likely intended to drown out some other troubling issues about how so many university departments, like economics and MBA programs especially, are being privatized and turned over to big corporate interests who earn the right to approve or even handpick professors that suit their rightwing ideologies, in return for the money they offer to the university.

Nevertheless, from what I read, I consider college and university issues to be a fishbowl that doesn't often have a whole lot to do with what's going on in the outside world!

I am not sure ifni agree w/ the schools being places so much a place for the rich to harbor their children for a few extra years as it is a way for the banksters and the state to get the children of just about any class into a lifetime of debt basically tossing a generation into indentured servitude under the guise of creating a better life for themselves.
