It is going to take a LOT for me to ever regain the respect I once had for them.
@Tristan

Care to provide an argument? Or, suffice to leave it at a long-winded slew of 'buzz words' intended to stir up negative emotions and connect it with your opponent(s)?

Would you like to go down the list? I motion for discussion about 'xenophobic' first.

Anyone the has been paying attention to Don the Con since he began his campaign years ago knows exactly what Tris means. We have discussed the particulars on DTT many many times. Tris clearly does not want to invest time regurgitating what has already been discussed extensively. As a relatively new member, it is your responsibility to review archived threads on issues covered so extensively.

So you want an argument/discussion over adjectives? AND you want to start with xenophobic? Why don't we narrow down the list by YOU telling US which of Tristan's adjectives you disagree with? Be sure to provide examples.

@Camelot

One does not have to support 'Don-the-Con' in order to maintain some overlapping positions. For instance, the claim 'xenophobia' is a prime example of this. One cannot simply move to Australia (or elsewhere) due to merit-based immigration policies. Does that make them necessarily deeply racist, xenophobic bigots?

So you support those that have been least fiscally responsible.

in other words your actions do not mirror your words.
But the current crop of Republicans who are in total control of the government right now, house, senate and white house, are MAKING UP FOR IT RAPIDLY. Adding more than $2 TRILLION dollars in just a year and a half.

Oh and let's not forget at least $2 Trillion is directly due to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We should have never gone there.

I thought Bush the elder was a great president. Then Jr came along to really hurt the brand and the current Republican President is killing it if not having achieved that already.

And yes, I have become very outspoken about it in response to all the totally mindless acceptance of a president that is a liar and con man by too many of his supporters.

But with all that said, I am totally against demonstrations that are or are on the verge of becoming violent that have shut down attempts by persons of whatever ideological position and thus universities, for example have cancelled or banned them. They have the same right to express themselves as the people I agree with and should be allowed to do so.
Bush 1 blundered when he did not go to Baghdad. Saddam was so proud that he had an inlaid ceramic tile on the front porch of the fancy hotel reserved for foreigners depicting Bush 1 with a 15 foot radius. Bush 2 got that hotel and character.

During GW1 then sec def Dick Cheney said the reason we didn't go to Baghdad and take out Saddam was, it would take 350,000 troops up to TEN YEARS to completely pacify the country. The other reason was Saddam was an integral part of the region's stability. He and Iran had been playing spy games keeping each other in check. Once we removed Saddam we unleashed Iran.

Bush during GW2 never had more than HALF that number of troops on the ground. 14 years and more than $2 TRILLION dollars later and the whole damned region is more unstable than ever.

Biggest and most expensive boondoggle in our history.

His deep dislike and contempt for European countries (mostly founded on the fact that they find him ridiculous and have rejected him - in spite of his wealth - for decades) has nothing to do with American immigration policies.

As Camelot noted above: we have discussed Trump's qualities enumerated in my post adnauseum. There is no way I'm going to go over the same crap I've been going over on this site since anybody ever heard of Donald Trump.

You'll just have to look at the various threads and catch up. Some of us have been here for over a decade. We're tired of going around the same city block of information over and over and over and over ...
