You're pretty good at slinging bullshit from the hip.

Show me an example of math being cut before art.

once a teacher has gotten tenure, it is very difficult to fire them or lay them off.

Proving once again I am not the Liar in this forum.. that Title is taken by a hypocritical Divorced bigoted Christian/conservative phobic Canadian

from my link

Florida, North Carolina, Kansas and Idaho have chosen to repeal tenure outright, phase out tenure or remove due process provisions, though Idaho’s effort to abolish tenure was reversed by its voters.
Sixteen*states use teachers’ performance ratings as a component of decisions to grant tenure.
Seven states require districts to return teachers to probationary status if their performance is rated unsatisfactory.
Instead of making lay-off decisions on the basis of tenure status or seniority, 11 states require that teacher performance be the primary consideration. Another state, Washington, adds this requirement in 2015-16.*Ten*states explicitly prohibit the use of tenure status or seniority
Please read what you quote, and you too Sabcat.

Four states have no tenure. And Instead of making lay-off decisions on the basis of tenure status or seniority, 11 states require that teacher performance be the primary consideration. Another state, Washington, adds this requirement in 2015-16.*Ten*states explicitly prohibit the use of tenure status or seniority

And, 46/50 is .92 or ninety two percent. And 35/50 is 70 percent.

A butt wipe in the Trump administration said teachers want more money to buy bigger cars implying that teachers are not eco-friendly.

IMO if you go on strike you have forfeited your job and should be replaced.
Really? There would be no strong middle class if it had not been for unions and people risking getting their heads bashed in for decent wages and decent working conditions. It seems to me you are working with a third world economy mentality where people are doing so poorly slavery could hardly be worse.

Funny how the people who defend high-priced medicine don't apply this principle to the teaching profession, but then all they do is teach our children, nothing very important..........

Carry on....
Teachers take care of children. They are lucky to get any pay.

When I had to put my grandmother in a nursing home, her Social Security check was so small she was put in the welfare side and fed after the paying people were fed. Fortunately, her mind was so gone she was unaware of that. She had taught most of her adult life and volunteered as a teacher many years after she was forced to retire because of her age.

We based Social Security on age and not need, to protect the dignity of older people. I feel angry about the loss of dignity she would have suffered is she had been more aware. A nation that does not respect its teacher is primitive.

Amen to that Athena.

Sabcat presently has given his soul to a vicious form of elitism and ageism that has always existed in the more vile and dark corners of humanity. The serpent eating its own tale is an allegorical fit for these vampires who ironically call others "vampire."
