Um, Mr. President-elect - smart people who have done research know!

Yes sirre Bob, the climate she's a changing; always has and always will. We best get our asses up to Mars where it's more or less stable, and folks aren't burning coal, and creating all them other greenhouse gasses.
Thanks from coke

Very few climate scientists who are willing to give more than bland happy talk on this issue have access to a public platform to try to shake some sense into their audiences...Kevin Trenberth would be one of the few who says the obvious: our present growth-based globalized capitalism cannot be made compatible with living on a planet with finite resources! This should be obvious, but it hasn't been a part of any serious environmental debates since the Limits To Growth reports were written almost 50 years ago!

What a bloody idiot - but, then, these buggers detest humanity and want to see us off.

And it's just bullshit to believe even a fraction of the human race has an extraterrestrial escape option in the foreseeable future!

Starting back in the 80's, Arizona State got a rich endowment to launch the Biosphere 2 series of experiments; that were designed to create an artificial self-contained biosphere that would support a small group of researchers in the sealed environment.

Even after several attempts to tweak the living conditions inside the giant greenhouse complex, oxygen levels crash/ or CO2 levels rise too high/dry rot and or fungus destroys plants...always something going wrong that would doom real life astronauts on a long term voyage or permanently stationed on some sort of permanent colony in space, or on Mars..wherever! And if you can't make self-sustaining life support systems work here on Earth, it's pointless dreaming to focus on building the rockets and pretending you're going to figure it out some time before anyone steps into the capsule to leave the planet!

The narrow-focused human supremacist worshipers of future technology, have no clue and even less regard for how the ecological systems on this planet function, and try to sustain life and allow it to flourish. And that contempt for nature...seeing the natural world as of no value until it is turned into useable products, is the #1 reason why ecological crises already have set the course for a major extinction that exterminates the human race, if the course we're on isn't changed really, really fast!

I'm surprised Porky didn't begin his post with...."I'm not a scientist BUT....."

Isn't that how they always begin their denial??
Thanks from iolo

They keep lying about the data, none of their predictions ever come true, but disagree and you're a "denier" .

I don't get it.
