Indeed, glacier melting has been accelerating...







In fact, the increasing amount of trapped energy that is due to the increase in greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere tends to go somewhere where there is the least resistance.

And water provides one of those least resistance avenues due to its heat capacity.
