Great so ridiculous liberals can panic now and sell their ocean front property for 10 cents on the dollar to me and I can enjoy a wonderful ocean front home for super cheap. I can't wait.
Thanks from Sensible and Baby Ray

What's really ludicrous about making an argument about overpumping groundwater is: who are the forces behind excessive extraction of groundwater? Doesn't matter if you're talking Florida, California, Texas or Arizona, Big Ag and big real estate developers have been fighting all the way to keep expanding their plundering of resources under unfettered capitalism, that's treated as a religion in the Republican Party and an irresistible force by the Democrats. Too bad Mother Nature doesn't make bargains with politicians and plutocrats!

Of course it matters, the lies about MMGW are solely to give government more power, and the U.N. as well, and take choices away from free people.

And Florida isn't going to be destroyed, you Canadians are nutso

Did you know the ice is melting on Greenland also? And most of Antarctica's ice is on land. There is what may be false comfort in the fact that the Southern Hemisphere is colder than the North and...at least it's assumed it will take much longer for the ice (90% of the world's ice) to melt. But, Greenland's ice melt is proceeding much faster than expected, so assured claims that the East Antartic Ice Sheet won't melt away until well into the next century may be similarly out of date in a few years. There is no easy way to monitor water seeping in and building up underneath ice sheets (as Greenland has shown) and once they begin to slide into the sea, they move very fast!

I am also a dual US/Canadian citizen with no plans to move back to the US...buying real estate in Florida now would just be pissing away hard-earned money! And that's why the Governor on down the line are trying to maintain a veil of secrecy about how bad the land and water situation is there.

Underneath the ice, Greenland is actually 3 large islands, so the estimates of how much melting that ice would raise sea levels are overstated.

Regards Antarctica, the ice cover down there as far as we can tell, has been consistently increasing for thousands of years. This increase continues today.

That's what Anthony Watts says. But I can't find a real scientist who agrees.

Since you define a "real scientist" as anyone who agrees with you there's no problem. (Sarcasm)

It is how the religion of MMGW rolls. Of course most alleged climatologists are just mathematicians. Who have been so wrong for so long, yet still the RNG's of the world kiss their hands.
Thanks from Sensible
