How about you do a search and read up on the chief climatologist at MIT?

But, Greenland's ice melt is proceeding much faster than expected, so assured claims that the East Antartic Ice Sheet won't melt away until well into the next century may be similarly out of date in a few years. There is no easy way to monitor water seeping in and building up underneath ice sheets (as Greenland has shown) and once they begin to slide into the sea, they move very fast!
Yes because I know the Greenland ice cap is melting fast and also people are looking for gold up there. The next Gold Rush is happening in Greenland as I write.

That's true. It's especially devastating to the indigenous Greenlanders who historically, have favoured living in the north, as opposed to the sometimes hospitable, ice-free southwest coast of the giant Island, because the cold Arctic waters and ice flows provided a steady supply of fish, seals and whales. As with Canada's High Arctic, this way of life has been permanently devastated by warming oceans and retreating ice.

The Inuit living on Baffin Island, in the eastern Arctic territory of Nunavut, have already experienced the arrival of fast money, mining camps, and the environmental damage, drug abuse and prostitution that remains after the gold, silver, chromium and other high-value metals are gone..along with the miners.

It would take centuries for a much warmer Arctic to transition to a new environment that builds soil and supports agriculture. So, in the meantime, all Greenlanders will have is the fast money and the fallout from opening their lands to fast buck exploitation!

Denmark owns Greenland Island lock, stock and barrel. Denmark is a small country on a small peninsula on the Baltic Sea and if I ever go to Denmark I will have to see the famous Tavoli Gardens.

Greenland is the largest island in the world, the second largest is New Guinea and the third largest is Borneo. I have never been to Greenland or New Guinea but have been to Borneo.

Denmark has been trying to come up with a plan for Greenland independence for some time now. The problem is..just as when France and England 'freed' their colonies 50 years ago, they want to make sure they have economic control of resources.

I wonder why Denmark owns Greenland. Eric the Red got kicked out of Sweden and started a colony in Iceland and the Vikings also colonized Greenland and Newfoundland. Some claim the Vikings made it as far as Minnesota.

Mat Damon has a mansion on the Atlantic in Miami. Is he running in panic selling his house before it is worth zero? I'll buy it for a few hundred thousand. How about Julia Robert's home in Miami Beach? I'll take this soon to be underwater house for cheap. Cher has a house on Key Biscayne. That will be underwater shortly. I am guessing she is busy now with her realtor trying to figure out how to pawn off this watery mansion for a pittance.

Rosie O'Donnell has a house in Miami Beach. Right on the water just inches away from being submerged. Is she trying to fool some sucker into buying this once multi million dollar home for next to nothing?
