Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president, declined to say on "Good Morning America” today whether Trump believes global warming is a hoax when pressed by ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos.

"The president believes in a clean environment, clean air, clean water," Conway said the day after President Trump said he is withdrawing the United States from the multination Paris Climate Agreement.

That is true. It was nothing but a giant redistribution scheme.

OK, instead of whining LW nutters, we need to negotiate a deal that is fair to the US and actually accomplishes something instead of giving free passes and billions of US dollars to the largest polluters China and India.

Who in their right mind thinks it was a great idea for America to send billions of taxpayer dollars for this malarky, whilst the real polluters are allowed to increase their pollution and pay little to nothing. This was another huge pile of dog vomit from Obama just like all the other piles he left laying around. History will not be kind to the Obama administration as the light shines brighter onto the corrupt Obama years.

Read the 'accord' for yourself. America has to give up many things, like coal production mentioned here so that other countries can increase their coal production which eradicate American jobs plus America has to pour billions upon billions of dollars into a fund that countries like India, Iran, China or some little pissant South Pacific island gets to suckle from. If you support the Paris Treaty you are anti-American.

Thank you President Trump. The Paris Accord was a terrible deal for the USA. Keep up the good work. Trump 2020!

That's about it in a nutshell. You will see that none of our self righteous progressives on here will have anything of actual value to say about that.

Uhhh.....does he 'get' the fact that the Paris Accord is a climate change agreement/pledge by almost 200 countries?? It sounds like Trump thinks this is about the climate in Paris...which wouldn't surprise me.

Tell me how we are going to spur job growth HERE in the U.S. and lower our energy costs.
Does Trump STILL think he's going to create thousands of coal jobs?? Two coal companies closed JUST THIS WEEK.
Yet, the clever and world-loving Germans burn 45% more coal than the US, and are still building coal plants right now. Paris Accords my ass.

Is that why Obimbo circumvented the Senate? There was no way in hell this agreement would become a ratified Treaty in the Senate, and Obimbo knew it. So, true to form, that clown signed a non-binding agreement that would cost the U.S. $Billions in taxpayer dollars for another of his hair-brained attempts at leaving a legacy. America was suppose to pay for his butt-kissing.

I knew someone would have to throw some cold water on this story today...and it looks like I got to be the one to do it!

What DT has done is given an international agglomeration of politicians and technocrats the opportunity to say: "see, we were that close to saving the world, but that damned Trump ruined everything...and now the apocalypse is coming!"
Well, that seems to be at least every second headline I've noticed today.

Well, the truth right from the beginning of the climate talk negotiations for more than two decades now is that actually limiting further increases in global average mean temperature to 2 degrees (not exactly the safe zone as portrayed publicly) would mean adding ALL manmade GHG contributions together..including military and industrial agriculture...but that's not what has been happening right from the start!

Instead, world leaders want easy AlGore type solutions where they can have their cake and eat it to...increased economic development with rising energy consumption/ while reducing carbon emissions. It's never been a possibility without a radical re-shifting of economic priorities, and even mass extinction later in this century isn't a strong enough motive to make the political and business classes do the right thing for future generations...and other species I might add!

The big indicator that the Paris Accord was just another pie-in-the-sky useless waste of paper was that there is no real enforcement mechanism for meeting what are essentially voluntary targets! But if there were, they never would have all signed on probably!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Agreement
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...ticle27739122/

So Trump provides a convenient excuse for failure to deal with rising GHG levels and all of the other ignored ecological catastrophes. Would they have actually accomplished anything if President Hillary was there for the signing ceremony? Not according to what's in the text of the agreement and the hard, un-negotiable numbers from climate research.
