the people's desires of NASA

The Republican President's attempts to relive past glories and send men to the moon again has struck out with the population. In fact, the majority of people think NASA should have monitoring the earth's climate systems as its top priority.

Neat, eh?

More Americans view monitoring climate or asteroids as top NASA priorities than do so for sending astronauts to the moon or Mars | Pew Research Center

You see it that way only because most people are way more intelligent and aware than you are.

Let's hear from someone who actually knows about it.

NASA = An independent agency of the United States government responsible for aviation and spaceflight.
Why should they be doing anything other that what their purpose it?
Thanks from Neil

I've wondered the same thing. That's like having the FAA doing research in drug and alcohol consumption.

Regarding going to the moon or space travel, that's something that should be left for private companies to do.

In fact the mandate under which NASA was created is pretty all encompassing. But up close to the top is:

So. Still does not make it fact. if it was priority science, NASA would not take Mann's falsified data as gospel. It would listen to it's own Climate Center University of Alabama at Huntsville.

I think that there are now only about three people in the world who still believe that Mann's data was false that aren't being paid by Exxon or The Heritage Foundation.

And you proudly wear that on your forehead.

Yeah, but that's for how it relates to flying aircraft. Even if CO2 had some effect on the performance or capacity of aircraft to fly (including effects on engines & fuel), that's a different context from the question of what detrimental impact CO2 has on the environment, whether natural or man made.
Thanks from caconservative and Sabcat
